Hi! My name is Ghaniyat, and I’m a medical student with a strong passion for teaching. I tutor Mathematics, English, Chemistry, Biology, and History, helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. I have experience teaching GCSE students, as well as tutoring my peers and younger medical students. Since these subjects were essential for getting into medical school, I have a deep understanding of them and can break down complex topics in a clear and engaging way. I tailor my teaching to suit each student’s learning style, making lessons interactive and effective. Beyond academics, I enjoy reading, science, cooking, traveling, and watching movies—especially psychological thrillers! I believe that a patient and understanding teacher can make all the difference, and I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel motivated to succeed. I completed my GCSEs at La Retraite Girls’ School, achieving qualifications in 10 subjects, including English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Sciences, and Spanish. My strong academic foundation allowed me to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which I now apply in both my studies and teaching. For my A-Levels, I studied History, Chemistry, and Biology, along with AS-Level Mathematics. These subjects provided me with a deep understanding of both the sciences and humanities, allowing me to approach learning with a well-rounded perspective. In addition to my A-Levels, I completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), which helped refine my research and analytical skills, and an ASDAN qualification, which further developed my independent learning abilities. Currently, I am a medical student at Plovdiv Medical University, where I am pursuing my passion for medicine with a keen interest in Surgery and Clinical Research. My studies require a strong grasp of scientific concepts, problem-solving, and communication, all of which I bring into my teaching. Having successfully navigated the rigorous process of getting into medical school, I understand what it takes to excel in subjects like Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and I enjoy helping students master these subjects with confidence. Through my experience tutoring GCSE students, my peers, and younger medical students, I have developed the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging way. I tailor my teaching approach to suit each student’s needs, ensuring they feel supported and motivated in their learning journey.

I’m Avalon! I’m 22 years old, I’ve recently graduated with a degree in Chemistry from Cardiff University. I’m currently doing my PhD in Computational Chemistry (also at Cardiff University). My teaching style is very methodical but still aims to pass on my enthusiasm for my subject. 1st class BSc in Chemistry with a Placement year abroad: 2021-2025. Currently doing a PhD in Computational Chemistry: 2025-2029. A-levels Maths (A), Chemistry (A), Physics (B): 2019-2021. GCSEs achieved grades 7-9 in Maths, English and all three sciences.

--- About Me! --- I'm Danny, a 4th year physicist at the University of Edinburgh, currently undergoing a research year abroad working on a thesis at GSI/FAIR, a facility for high energy physics. My work involves a lot of programming, knowledge of physics, and application of engineering and design principles. I love inspiring others and talking about my subject, so any student who comes my way will hopefully leave feeling confident, ready for common exam questions, and most importantly, wanting to learn more beyond their curriculum. I play the violin to a diploma standard, love trying out new cooking recipes (sometimes with disastrous consequences), and really enjoy mountain sports, like climbing and hiking. --- My Education --- As mentioned above, I am a physicist at the University of Edinburgh on a year in industry at GSI. I am working on the upcoming DIRC particle detectors for the PANDA project and the EIC at Brookhaven (google these things, in my opinion they are very cool). This research of course involves knowing a bunch about programming, mathematics and physics! I achieved 4 A* grades at A-Level, in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Music, with the WJEC exam board. For these grades, I abused my poor printer, drilling past paper questions endlessly, so I am very familiar with this specific curriculum. However, mathematics and physics are very similar across all exam boards. There are common questions in every exam, and your child will become familiar and confident with these questions with me, ideally able to reproduce 'stock answers' with a high level of understanding and speed. This saves time in exams and guarantees easy marks; this is a major step in reducing exam anxiety, and one of the main strategies I used to achieve my marks. I taught a STEM program at a US summer camp. It was much more of a 'for fun' thing, so we focused on making classes lightweight and enjoyable, rather than drilling worksheets and past paper questions. As such, I won't exclusively bore tutees to death with math problems! I pride myself on being able to break down concepts into simple to understand analogies. I am also a huge advocate for using past questions as revision material. However, I recognise the importance for students to balance time spent on questions with going over textbook concepts.

I am an extremely enthusiastic and positive person. I currently teach English early years, Primary school/Reception year. SEND Primary and Highschool and ESL, with over 25 years experience. Patience is my middle name. I am an energetic and a fun teacher. Using a variety of methods including: auditory, visual, reading/writing, verbal and kinaesthetic movement. I look forward to meeting you, my future student. My academic journey started after high school and continues to present. Studying and learning never stops. It is a part of self growth. I actively ensure I continuously follow CLP. Fields of teaching include: English Reception year, English Primary school, English Primary and Highschool for SEN, SEND and ALN students who are looking to improve their skills in English. I also teach English as a Second language and Business English. An achievement of mine was when one of my students won GOLD at the Shanghai Special Olympics. In January 2025, GoStudent have added AI to GoClass. AI training was completed and is boosting tutoring outcomes.
