Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing musical instruments, video editing, I graduated from Philippine Normal University with a Bachelor's in Secondary Education, majoring in English. I’m also TEFL certified and passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers. My education has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to teach effectively, and I continuously seek professional development opportunities to stay current with teaching methodologies and best practices. After a Bachelor's Degree in Translation and Interpretation and a Master's in Conference Interpreting, I have been learning languages for years now and, in 2019, I decided to pass on to my students the language acquisition techniques that helped me when learning French, Russian, Arabic, Basque and English. Here goes one: make the impossible to surround yourself with a Spanish or Hispanic environment (tutors, friends, relatives, news... > culture will boost your motivation to continue learning). I lived in Valencia, Donostia, Bilbao, Madrid and Huelva but I also lived in Bordeaux, Bergerac and Paris. I started teaching Spanish in the Spanish city of Vitoria (also known as the Basque Siberia) because I wanted to help the immigrants coming every year to start a new life in Spain. I found that the best way to help them was by teaching them Spanish so that they could communicate with others and build a brand-new life. In 2020, I started teaching and tutoring French and Spanish on digital learning platforms. Up until now, I have helped more than 90 people (all ages, students with SEND educational profiles, backgrounds and cultures) reach their goals onsite and online and have been translating, project managing and interpreting for 3 years! I am currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Surrey. I can teach up to A-Level Maths. I have exam board experience for Edexcel GCSE Maths and OCR B MEI A-Level Maths. I am fluent in both English and Tamil. I am looking to teach anyone of all ages! I am only familiar with the English Curriculum (OCR, Edexcel, and AQA). I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels at Langley Grammar School and achieved an 8 in Maths at GSCE and a C in Maths at A-Level (5 marks off from a B). Since then I joined the University of Surrey and I am currently a 2nd year undergraduate in Chemical Engineering.
