Hello! My name is Abz, and I provide 1:1 GCSE and KS3 Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics tuition across all major exam boards (AQA, OCR and Edexcel to name a few). With over four years of tutoring experience and having achieved A* in A level Biology, Maths and Chemistry, I help students build confidence with a calm and patient approach, close knowledge gaps and improve exam performance with regular exam questions in our lessons. Lessons are fully personalised to target knowledge gaps with clear explanations using diagrams and the interactive online whiteboard. Strong emphasis is placed on past paper exam questions which we work through step-by-step to develop exam technique and confidence. I’m someone who is curious, motivated, and always eager to learn. I’m currently studying an undergraduate degree in Cybersecurity at university, and I really enjoy the challenge of exploring new ideas and developing practical skills that I can use in the real world. I like learning from constructive feedback because it keeps me motivated and helps me improve, both personally and academically. Outside of my studies, I have a range of interests that I’m passionate about. I enjoy reading, as it gives me a chance to explore new perspectives and ideas. I also like staying up to date with technology—I find it fascinating how quickly things change and how innovation affects our daily lives. I’m also someone who values keeping active, so I make time to go to the gym regularly. It helps me stay focused, disciplined, and energised. I like challenges and enjoy pushing myself out of my comfort zone. For example, in Sixth Form, I chose to study Business and Law without any prior experience. It was tough at first, but fully committing to it taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of perseverance. I’ve found that these qualities carry over into all areas of my life, whether it’s learning something new, staying disciplined, or taking on responsibilities. Overall, I’m a person who enjoys learning, growing, and taking on challenges. I like activities that stretch me mentally and physically, and I’m motivated by opportunities that allow me to develop myself and make the most of my potential. I successfully completed my GCSEs, as well as Level 3 BTECs in Business, Law, and IT, achieving two Distinction* grades and one Distinction. In addition, I was awarded an IT certificate in Year 13, which helped deepen my knowledge and practical skills in technology. I am currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Cybersecurity at University, where I am continuing to build my expertise in IT and develop my understanding of digital security. My education has provided a strong foundation in both academic knowledge and practical skills, preparing me for further challenges and professional growth.

Outside of teaching and studying, I’m someone who loves exploring the world in every sense. I love to travel, always looking for the next hidden city street, quiet coastal path, or mountain trail to wander. I love experiences that spark curiosity and offer new perspectives, which are some qualities I bring into my lessons, too. I’m also a keen reader and lifelong learner, with a love for books on psychology, inclusive education, and modern fiction. To stay active, I enjoy yoga and long walks, which help me recharge and stay mindful, and I’m always up for trying new creative outlets, whether that’s experimenting with photography, cooking dishes from around the world, or learning a new skill just for fun. Music is another big part of my life; I love discovering new artists and curating playlists for different moods and adventures. These interests not only keep life exciting but also influence the way I connect with students: by staying curious, open-minded, and passionate about learning in all its forms. Hi! I’m Ann — a second-year medical student who loves painting, reading, and (recently) horse riding. I’m someone who genuinely enjoys learning new things, but I also understand how tough studying can feel when you’re stuck, stressed, or unsure where to start. That’s a huge part of why I tutor — I want to make learning feel lighter, clearer, and way less overwhelming. I’m not the type of tutor who just reads off a screen or throws information at you. I like to explain things in a simple, friendly way, break topics down into small steps, and make sure you actually understand the idea, not just memorise it. Everyone learns differently, so I always adjust the pace and style to whatever works best for you. If you’re someone who loses motivation, gets anxious about exams, or feels like certain subjects just “don’t make sense,” don’t worry — I’ve been there too. We’ll work through it together until you feel confident. I’m patient, supportive, and I’ll never make you feel bad for not knowing something. That’s literally what I’m here for. I really want my students to feel comfortable, motivated, and proud of themselves. I love seeing someone go from “I don’t get this at all” to “wait… that actually makes sense now!” It’s the best part of tutoring. I achieved all A* in chemistry, biology and maths at GCSEs, and an A in biology for A-level through my time as a student I developed effective study techniques, which I use to support students in their learning.
