Over the course of my time learning with Ken I’ve grown to love his style. He has taught me to look at things from different perspectives and has accelerated my understanding of texts and analysis. Very lucky to have had him.

ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. I'm into all sorts of things if I'm honest. I am a keen traveller (but who isn't nowadays), audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills through necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. TEACHING EXPERIENCE/PREFERENCES The subjects I teach are History, English Literature and Language for GCSE and A-level, as well as E...

With six years of experience as a former engineer in a Japanese multinational company, I’ve had the opportunity to live in Japan, Thailand, and Germany. Chatting with people from all walks of life? Yep, that’s my jam! 🌏😃 Currently, I teach KS2 / KS3 / GCSE / IGCSE/ A Level Maths for AQA, OCR, Edexcel, and CAIE exam boards, and KS3 / GCSE / IGCSE Physics (not Year 10 above). I also teach Maths for the MYP and IB Diploma Programme. I use resources from Pearson, Hodder, Cambridge, Oxford, Collins, Haese, and past papers as reference materials. Furthermore, I'm TEFL-certified and have been teaching English (ESL, Key (A2) PET (B1), First (B2), Advanced (C1) Certification), Math, Physics, and basic Japanese (N5-N4) part-time online for several years. So whether you’re preparing for an exam, looking to level up your skills, or simply want to explore these subjects more deeply, I’ve got your back! 📚💡 Let’s make learning fun together! 😉 From an early age, I developed a deep passion for Math and English. Throughout elementary and high school, I eagerly represented my school in Math and English (Extemporaneous speech, broadcasting, editorial writing) competitions, which provided me with intensive training and a strong affinity for the subjects. With my engineering background, I also have a solid foundation in some Physics. Finally, I have Japanese Language Proficiency N3 (Intermediate) Level, so I can teach N5-N4 (Beginner) level Japanese to those who are interested in this language.

GCSE Maths & Chemistry | UCL Graduate | English · Mandarin · Cantonese 80% of my students achieve grade 7 or above. If you're looking for results, you're in the right place. I'm a UCL graduate specialising exclusively in GCSE Maths and Chemistry — two subjects I know inside out, including every exam board trick and mark scheme trap students fall into. I also teach in Mandarin and Cantonese. If your child grasps concepts faster in their first language, that's never a problem here. Before tutoring full-time, I worked in a SEN school — so I genuinely know how to adapt to different learners. Not every student thinks the same way, and I don't teach the same way twice. Every lesson includes: A tailored approach based on your child's specific gaps Clear explanations — no jargon, no condescension A recap summary sent after each session Regular, honest progress updates for parents Whether your child is aiming to push from a 5 to a 7, or just needs to finally get the topic that's been confusing them all year — let's make it happen. Bachelor's in Psychology from UCL. Master's in Behavioural Economics from the University of Warwick. Both degrees are highly quantitative, building strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Specialising in GCSE Maths and Chemistry. Additional experience teaching in a SEN school, adapting lessons to diverse learning needs.

Hi, I'm Samuel! I'm a Maths student at Warwick University and I specialise in making Maths accessible and achievable for all levels and offer expert help with exam revision. Having mentored GCSE students at school and taught primary school age groups, I’ve developed the ability to simplify even the most daunting topics into clear, achievable steps. I focus on helping GCSE and A-Level students get to grips with complex topics. Whether you are looking to secure a pass or aiming for an A*, I provide a patient, supportive environment to help you reach your full potential. I am currently studying Maths at the University of Warwick. I went to Northgate Sixth Form in Ipswich to study for A levels where I achieved a grade A* in both Maths and Further Maths and a grade A in both Physics and Economics. Before this, I completed my GCSEs at Northgate High School in Ipswich where I achieved grade 9 in 5 subjects (including Maths), grade 8 in 4 subjects and grade 6 in 1 subject. My strengths are in Maths and the sciences. I am also musically trained having achieved a grade 8 merit on the piano from Trinity College London, a grade 5 distinction on music theory from ABRSM and a grade 9 in Music GCSE.
