Hi! I'm a friendly, supportive and enthusiastic tutor specialising in GCSE Biology and Chemistry, as well as A-level Biology. I achieved A*AA at A-level in these subjects and am currently studying Podiatry at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Alongside my studies, I have over two years of tutoring experience and also work as a teaching assistant, supporting both mainstream and SEN students across a wide range of ages and abilities. I am a Medical Doctor on a new journey to further my education. I have approximately 5 years of tutoring experience across the board. I mainly started tutoring as a way to learn and retain the content for good grades. I found that when helping my peers I also helped myself improve my grades. In lower level I have experience tutoring Science and Math while in GCSE and A-Level I tutor Chemistry, Biology and Math. I am currently an undergraduate at Loughborough University studying Robotics Engineering. I am interested in satellites and fighter jets and mathematics is my favourite subject. I’m an athlete and love fitness, and have been an academic for the longest. I love research and solving very hard maths problems. I love music and everything in between My highest level of qualification is a levels where I studied Mathematics, Maths and Physics as well as taking AS chemistry in year 12. Hi, I’m Maite! I’m a native German speaker and teach German at all levels — Primary, GCSE, and A-Level. Besides German and English, I also speak French and Spanish. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies with a minor in Educational Science, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural learning, communication, and how to make complex ideas accessible. During my time at university, I spent over three years tutoring children of different ages, working in a programme led by the German federal government to support children from migrant and refugee backgrounds in their school learning. I am now excited to work with adults as well. When I think back to my own school years, the teachers who inspired me most were those whose honest passion made even my least favourite subjects enjoyable. That’s the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons: engaging, light, and enjoyable. Outside tutoring, I teach meditation and mindfulness and support a charity creatively, which helps me bring patience, flexibility, and creativity into my teaching. In addition, I hold a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate, complemented by an additional 50 hours of training in meditation.
