My name is Whitman, and I am a third-year at the University of Chicago studying Astrophysics and Economics with a minor in Classics. Originally born in New York City, I grew up in London my entire life where I completed the IB Diploma. Outside of academics, I row at UChicago, play piano, and love to read. I am currently studying Astrophysics and Economics with a minor in Classics at the University of Chicago. I also completed my IB Diploma with HL Maths AA, HL Physics, HL Economics, HL History, SL English Lang. & Lit., and SL Spanish B. My specialisations include all of my HL subjects, and also Spanish as after graduating highschool I lived and worked in Argentina.

I am an experienced mathematics tutor with a strong background in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Bristol. Over the past five years, I have successfully delivered tailored, one-to-one tutoring sessions for students of all abilities, including those with neurodivergencies. My approach focuses on diagnostic assessment, breaking down complex topics into clear steps, and building automated tracking to measure progress. Dedicated to making maths engaging and accessible, I love helping students build long-term confidence and achieve their full potential. I hold a 2:1 master's degree (MEng) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Bristol, where I specialised in Communications and Coding. This rigorous program provided me with a strong mathematical foundation across signal processing and data transmission. Prior to university, I excelled in my A Levels, achieving straight A grades in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, and was named Physicist of the Year by Imperial College London. I also earned a Bronze Award in the Oxford Physics Olympiad, placing in the top 1-3% nationally.

Hi there. James here, from South Africa. I taught in London in Walthamstow for my probationary year in 1991, and then in Johannesburg and Kwazulu-Natal in South Africa for a total of 21 years. I have taught Cambridge A Level History and England and South Africa's English and History curricula. I am also a published researcher, poet, and author. I enjoy cross-country running. I like NETFLIX mystery series. I regularly get out wilderness walking and cross country swimming. Since February 2025, I tutor English and Religious Studies for GoStudent. I battled with learning difficulties at school. However, I did very well after school, because I knew that English opens doors. So, I set goals. Then I achieved a B.A (1985) and a B. Ed (1996) degree, at Wits University in Johannesburg. I did a Masters Degree in Theology (Regent College, Vancouver, B.C., 2001) and a PhD in Church History (University of KwaZulu-Natal, 2016). I believe education is a lifelong journey. We master English every day for the rest of our lives. So I'm still learning as I tutor GCSE students, A Level students, and juniors, to reach their highest goals.

Hi my name is Fatima! I am a passionate and positive individual who would love to help support you in your studies. I have recently completed my A-Levels in Psychology, Sociology and Religious Studies. I love to help students understand challenging topics and build their confidence even when it becomes challenging. I believe everyone learns differently, so I will adapt my lessons to suit each student. This involves breaking down challenging topics, practising exam questions, quizzes, active recall and creating engaging revision sessions. As I’ve recently been a student myself, I understand the pressures of exams, grades and revision. I want to make my lessons supportive and encouraging, so students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. We will work through it together and become more confident. I attended Oulder Hill Leadership Academy (2019-2024) leaving with 8 GCSE's. My subjects were Maths, English Language, English Literature, Combined Science, Geography, Art and Religious Studies. I attended Rochdale Sixth Form and completed my A-Levels (2024-2026). My subjects were Psychology, Sociology and Religious Studies (Philosophy, Theology and Ethics). I have experience in working with high school students who were choosing their A-Levels. I volunteered to help in sessions for A-Level Religious Studies and helped explain to students what this A-Level involves. I will now be a student at The Open University and I will be studying Psychology with Counselling as my Bachelors Degree. Lastly, I specialise in A-Level Psychology, Sociology and Religious Studies. I achieved AAA and have always been very passionate in all three of my subjects.
