I have a Masters in Creative Writing Oxford University. I've got a 2:1 from University of Sussex in Drama and Film Studies. I've worked with children ranging from 3 months to 18 years, in formal educational settings and at home. I have experience tutoring in English and Creative Writing at Secondary Level, helping students raise their grades one, two or three levels higher at GCSE and achieving top scores at A Level. Hi, I’m Darius, a 20-year-old student entering my third year of studying Physics at the University of Oxford. I achieved eleven grade 9s at GCSE and five A* grades at A-level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and my EPQ. I have a strong passion for learning and enjoy helping others develop the same. I offer tutoring in Physics, Maths and Further Maths from KS1 through to KS5. My Teaching Approach In an age where tools like ChatGPT are widely used, students can sometimes struggle with misinformation and a lack of structured repetition. This is where guided support from someone with a strong academic background can make a real difference. My sessions are carefully tailored to your individual learning style and goals. I start by gaining a clear understanding of your strengths and areas that need improvement through discussion and assessment exercises. From there, I design a structured plan that focuses on reinforcing core concepts, addressing weaker topics, and building the problem-solving skills necessary for exam success. My approach goes beyond simply working through questions—I aim to develop a deep conceptual understanding so that students can tackle unfamiliar problems with confidence. I incorporate proven strategies for efficient revision, exam technique, and time management, sharing the tips and tricks that helped me excel in these subjects. Visual explanations, step-by-step reasoning, or lots of practice questions, I’ll adapt my teaching style to suit your needs and keep sessions engaging and productive. Outside of Academics In my free time, I enjoy playing piano and have achieved Grade 8. I also like staying active by representing my college in football and challenging my younger brother to tennis matches (sometimes letting him win). I’m also a keen pool player and enjoy both the social side and the competitive edge it brings. Outside of that, I’m working on improving my chess skills, I’m a passionate Arsenal fan and I love watching a good film. I am a third year Physics student at the University of Oxford. I am a 3rd year medical science student at De Montfort University. My favourite subject was Maths. I aim to become a physician's associate after completing my masters and working in the paediatrics department sometime in the future. I teach differently catering for each student differently and to create a positive comfortable learning experience!
