Hi, I am Libby, a final year Geography student at the University of Cambridge. I have been formally and informally tutoring A-level and GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Geography for about six years across a variety of age groups and academic abilities. Outside of academia, I love to play hockey and rugby, working hard to be awarded a Cambridge Blue in hockey. I attended the Newcastle Royal Grammar School where I attained an A* in A-level Geography and two grade As in Biology and Chemistry A-level. I remained at the school after my GCSEs where I attained nine grade 9s and one grade 8 across a wide variety of subjects. I am now reading Geography at the University of Cambridge, and about to begin my final year of studies. For my dissertation, I have recently completed a 7 week research placement at the Australian Institute of Marine Science where I contributed to a study which will increase Indigenous participation in reef monitoring across the Great Barrier Reef.

I am a passionate Science Teacher who has a love for making complex concepts simple and engaging. I am experienced in creating interactive lessons that spark curiosity and foster deep understanding. I attended the University of Lincoln and achieved a degree in Forensic Science. I continued my education in Forensic Anthropology. I then worked as a Personal Effects Specialist during a mass disaster, followed by working in a Microbiology laboratory. I started teaching the Royal Navy in Sea Survival and First Aid before I began Teach First. I worked in a school teaching secondary science whilst achieving my PGDE.

Hi there, I'm Mustafa! And I'm a 1st year medical student at the University of Manchester who tutors alongside studies in the evenings. I have been tutoring for the past year and a half, with over 200+ hours of experience on various online platforms for Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Incidentally, I took all these 4 subjects for A Level and received A*AAA to showcase my passion for the STEM subjects alongside with the ambition of earning a coveted place in medical school. These subjects have now given me a solid, diverse foundation to teach from which now project into my students whether GCSE or A Level. Teaching is a beautiful art which encapsulates the ability to not only impart your knowledge to helping others progress, but also the opportunity to simultaneously inspire their confidence and self-esteem off the field, since often your confidence from understanding concepts will then project into other areas of your life which can prove beneficial for maintaining a healthy portfolio. Learning from a textbook can only do wonders to a certain limit, but the art to teaching entails a variety of concepts that hold the opportunity to boost morale and confidence in the student's abilities. A concept which is equally important than the contextual learning itself since the drive and hunger to study harder derives from the faith you show in yourself and the support around you. My teaching philosophy is to aim to bring a balance of enthusiasm and meticulousness when it comes to teaching. The teacher-student relationship is pivotal to helping a student progress, hence I emphasise the importance on getting to know my student through their hobbies and interests firstly and relate that to their learning. I intend to expand on their knowledge by developing their concepts through a mixture active engagement where I will annotate concepts on the screen and then ask the student to annotate as well actively to keep the lesson flowing smoothly. We will go through the theory and the content, before then consolidating our learning on exam questions in the latter sect of the lesson which will give a realistic challenge of what you may be examined on. I attended Thornden School for my GCSEs where I achieved 98887776 in my exams. Then I went to Bishop Wordsworth's Grammar School for my A Levels where I achieved A*AAA in Chemistry, Maths, Physics and Biology respectively. I am now in the process of undergoing my MBBS Medicine degree at the University of Manchester Medical School. Currently in Year 1.
