I am a Qualified Teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching Mathematics to students of all levels. Experience with: Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, GCSE Maths Exam Prep, Special Need,11+ ,13+ Exam Board Experience: I can work with any exam board. Edexcel, AQA, OCR (most material is common to all exam boards). I am currently working as a Mathematics teacher at a school in the U.K. In my previous roles, I taught mathematics and coding. I have also tutored students at various levels, from elementary school to college. I am very well aware of the Mathematics curriculum and always look for new and engaging ways to teach it. I am passionate about helping students learn and committed to providing them with the best possible education. Hi! My name is Amy and I’m currently studying Maths and Philosophy at the University of Leeds. I am a Maths tutor aiming to help students between KS2 and GCSE level to enjoy and understand Maths. Beyond studying, I have a passion for dancing and love to perform on stage. When I am not dancing, I also love to solve puzzles and riddles. Initially, I attended All Saints Primary School. Then, I went to Greenbank High School and received 11 GCSEs with grades ranging from 7-9. I took a mix of GCSE subjects from Dance and Drama to History and Further Maths. After High School, I attended Runshaw College. I completed A-levels in Maths, Psychology and English Literature and earned grades AAC. I also completed an AS-level in Further Maths and earned a grade C. I am currently completing a BSc Maths and Philosophy honours degree programme at the University of Leeds. I have completed my second year and will hopefully be graduating in the summer of 2026.

I am an undergraduate studying mechanical engineering MEng, I've tutored maths and physics for 2 years and have loved guiding and teaching my students to pass their GCSE's and A-levels As I am still in full time education and having completed my own GCSE's and A-Levels I can understand how stressful and difficult it is learning subjects in classrooms without one to one help. That's why I try cater to students needs, breaking down the subject matter into simpler explanations and then work through exam questions to show how its used in practice. I know the value of getting to understand a student and their needs, from how they learn best to how to keep them engaged in lessons. Past Experience: I have tutored both math's and physics before to GCSE and A-level standards for two years and am particularly confidant in these subjects. I can teach biology and chemistry at a GCSE standard as well. I am available all days of the week, I am familiar with most exam boards, If booking a trial lesson having a specific subject(s) or question(s) you need help with will be most apricated. My hobbies include traveling abroad, skiing, rugby, D&D, reading and cooking. I've always enjoyed maths, which inspired me to pursue a degree in Economics and Finance. I adore the logical reasoning underlying these courses and enjoy applying them to real-world situations, particularly in physics. I believe that with the appropriate direction and technique, anyone can thrive in these areas. My teaching technique is based on recognising each student's unique needs and learning style, which helps to make the content more relatable and interesting. By rigorously adhering to the specification and marking schemes, I ensure that students understand exactly what is required to succeed. My career includes extensive experience in calculating risk for North American Commercial Real Estate, where I specialised in loan underwriting and corporate expansion as well as underwriting in the digital payments world for EU and British companies.
