My name is Santosh Gopalan, I am a second year student at the University of Surrey studying Economics BSc. I am a friendly Economics student who tutors maths hoping to inspire students to love the subject and make sure that they strive to get the top grades. I have studied GCSE Maths and achieved grade 8. I have also studied A-Level Maths and achieved grade A. I have extensive knowledge of the AQA, Pearson Edexcel and OCR exam boards for both GCSE and A-Level maths. Hello! My name is Stephanie Mazambi and I’m in my second year at King’s College London studying Medicine. Alongside my academic, teaching students is a genuine passion of mine as I love to help students unlock their full potential and secure the grades they deserve. Guiding peers through the intricacies of academics has been my joy. From achieving stellar GCSE results, including 2x 7`s, 2x 9`s, and 5x 8`s, to securing an A in A-Level Biology, my journey has been marked by dedication to learning. Also, recently completing my A-levels, I understand how hard and frustrating preparation for exams can be and hope to be a helping hand to those who need it. Have previously been involved in Regional + National Lego Robotic Competitions and have mentored for students after. Currently, I am studying Medicine at King`s College London where biology and chemistry are still very valuable and I would be able to offer any advice to any prospective medical students. I adapt lesson style and content to your needs. We can go through specific subject areas, study skills and exam skills as required. I can vary how the material is delivered according to the situation and what works for you. I will teach and do lecture notes where appropriate, or take a more "coaching" style if that suits you and the situation better. We can even do more seminar/discussion style lessons as you become more comfortable with the material. At the heart of all of the above is making sure that we are working together so that you can achieve your goals. I know that you are probably already having lessons in school or at home, and my goal will be to complement those existing lessons rather than replacing them so that you can get the best value out of our time together. Specialisms: I am able to cover all aspects of the curriculum but I am particularly focused on skills. Psychology is a little different to other subjects covered at A-Level - not only do students have to learn a lot of information and produce it under exam conditions, but there is also a need to analyze and evaluate what has been learned so that they can write clearly, concisely and insightfully about that information. As well as teaching the syllabus content, I can help improve a student's thinking and writing skills so that they can go into exams with more confidence. I have also developed my coaching skills so work with students to help them improve their own problem-solving capabilities so that they can identify how they can study more effectively. A bit about me: I'm a PhD-qualified tutor who, over the course of my career, spent time working as a researcher, consultant and analyst across different industries. In all of those other roles, the part I enjoyed most was training, teaching and coaching people, so I am working towards making that my full-time career. Working in industry has taught me the importance of always turning up prepared and ready to work, using clear, prompt and honest communication and making sure that whoever I am working with knows that I am working in their best interests. The same will apply when we work together. In my spare time I love to play football and follow a lot of sport. I am learning to play guitar (very slowly) and enjoy listening to music, going to gigs when the opportunity arises. I love learning and am always doing some course or another - I'm currently studying to teach English as a foreign language and working towards accredited coach status. Hi! My name is Fariha Delwer and I’m a medical student at Queen’s University Belfast with a real enthusiasm for teaching and helping others learn. I have experience tutoring GCSE Science and A-Level Chemistry, and I enjoy making tricky concepts simple and approachable. I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs, whether that’s building confidence in the basics or developing exam techniques for top grades. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and motivated to succeed. I am currently studying Medicine at Queen’s University Belfast, where I continue to build on my strong academic background in science. At GCSEs I went to Southend High School for Girls, where I achieved nine 9s. Alongside my degree, I have developed teaching experience by tutoring GCSE Science and A-Level Chemistry, where I have learned how to explain complex ideas clearly and adapt my approach to suit different learning styles.
