Hello, I'm Lorraine, a passionate educator devoted to helping students achieve their full potential through an enjoyable learning journey. With over two years as an ESL tutor, I have conducted more than 4,500 classes for students ranging from young children to adults. My personalized approach caters to individual learning needs, fostering confidence both inside and outside the classroom while keeping students engaged and motivated. Additionally, my experience as an account trainer has provided me with extensive training to further expand my knowledge and skills. I am glad that I now have a one year of GoStudent experience with over a thousand completed sessions, consequently, I know what it takes for a student to be interested in an online session and how make him/her feel welcomed and non-hesitant about asking any question that comes to mind. I successfully completed my A-levels back in 2018, and I'm currently a mechanical engineering student in university, aiming to gain simultaneous work experience in both engineering and online tutoring. Additionally, I have pursued specialized coursework in engineering principles and mechanical systems, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of the field.

I worked towards an undergraduate education degree where I qualified as a an educator, specialising in English. After working a year, I decided to apply for a part-time postgraduate degree in education, where I focused on learning about inclusive education and educational psychology. I also wrote a research paper about improving teaching strategies in the classroom. After deciding to move to France, I then took a course for how to teach English online to all age groups, from young children to adults. I also completed an advanced grammar and business English course. Currently, I'm teaching Cambridge English to young children and teenagers. I help students prepare for IGCES, GCSES and A levels. I also teach ESL to all age groups. At the moment, I am learning French and I'm currently on a B1 level in my language development.

Outside of teaching and studying, I’m someone who loves exploring the world in every sense. I love to travel, always looking for the next hidden city street, quiet coastal path, or mountain trail to wander. I love experiences that spark curiosity and offer new perspectives, which are some qualities I bring into my lessons, too. I’m also a keen reader and lifelong learner, with a love for books on psychology, inclusive education, and modern fiction. To stay active, I enjoy yoga and long walks, which help me recharge and stay mindful, and I’m always up for trying new creative outlets, whether that’s experimenting with photography, cooking dishes from around the world, or learning a new skill just for fun. Music is another big part of my life; I love discovering new artists and curating playlists for different moods and adventures. These interests not only keep life exciting but also influence the way I connect with students: by staying curious, open-minded, and passionate about learning in all its forms.
