I’m a medical student with a passion for teaching Biology, Science, and Maths at primary and GCSE levels. Almost 10 years in higher education, I’ve learned two key things: 1) Every student can succeed with the right teaching approach, and 2) Learning should be active, using techniques like spaced repetition and active recall. I focus on breaking down complex topics, using examples, mnemonics, and past papers to help students understand. I’m patient and adaptable, always ready to find new ways to explain concepts if needed. Outside of academics, I’m passionate about sports, gaming, and tech. I’ve coached an under-15 basketball team and teach guitar at my church, which helps me connect with students and build trust to boost their confidence and performance. I graduated from Glasgow in 2020 with a 2:1 in Biomedical Sciences and am currently pursuing a medical degree. My strong academic background in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, English, and Geography enables me to offer well-rounded and insightful tutoring.

I am a first year biomedical science student at Queen Mary University of London. I have a passion for science and mathematics and enjoy being able to help others achieve their unique goals. I have had a years worth of experiencing in tutoring people between the ages of 5 and 16 years old and I am looking forward to being able to work with a wider range of students. I have spent a year with the company KipMcGrath where I was a student tutor for people between the ages of 5 and 16 years old in subjects including English, Mathematics and Science.

I am passionate about helping students reach their academic goals by making learning clear, structured, and enjoyable. I believe every student has the ability to excel when given the right guidance and support. With strong skills in organisation, communication, and critical analysis, I ensure that lessons are not only effective but also build lasting confidence. My approach combines professionalism with approachability, allowing students to feel comfortable while being challenged to achieve their best. I am currently a student at the university of Dundee. I have increased my knowledge through experiences with top law firms to supporting patients in healthcare areas which has allowed me to strengthen my communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain things clearly. I’ve also helped several students improve their understanding of subjects and grow in confidence with their learning. As a tutor, I take a supportive and adaptable approach as my degree encourages me to understand that every student learns differently so I tailor lessons to suit individual needs. Hi! I'm Olivia and I am a 4th year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Strathclyde. I chose this degree as I'm passionate about Maths and Physics, taking both up to Advanced Higher level while at secondary school. I'm focused right now on tutoring up to GCSE level or equivalent. I have experience tutoring up to this level in both Maths and Physics through a programme led by my university. I also have experience working with younger children as a football coach to girls aged 5-9 at Queens Ladies and Girls Football Club. Outside of my studies I enjoy running, travelling and reading to name just a few interests. In terms of lessons, I tend to tailor each lesson and teaching method to each pupil. I mostly use worksheets to reinforce knowledge and build students' confidence in their chosen subject. I will also set quizzes prior to each lesson for the student to complete to allow me to understand how they have progressed since the last lesson. I am a 4th year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Strathclyde. Since beginning my studies, I have developed my analytical and problem-solving skills studying subjects such as thermodynamics, programming, structural mechanics and dynamics to name but a few.
