Hello! My name is Emma, and I am a second-year Accounting and Finance student at Lancaster University. I achieved 9 GCSEs, ranging from 7-9, which allowed me to study Chemistry, Economics and Maths. I also gained an A* in my EPQ, which I completed in year 12, giving me crucial skills that I have carried forward to my degree. I have been tutoring for over a year. During this time, I have helped prepare primary school students for their SATS and gained more confidence with maths in the classroom. I also prepared year 11 and 13 students for their GCSE and A levels by covering content they were unsure of and practising exam techniques. I previously gained experience mentoring GCSE students at my school. I am a student with dyslexia, so I understand the challenges students face in classroom settings. Anyone can be successful, which is why my sessions are student-led, so that they are catered towards each individual's learning style. If you are unsure of this throughout my school career, I have learnt different methods that work for me and would love to pass them on to others so that we can find a technique that works for you. I attended Rugby School, where I completed my GCSEs and A levels, and now I have gone on to study for a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University, where my ambition is to become an ACA Chartered Accountant. I have been tutoring with GoStudent for almost a year now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Please note I do not take adult learners at this time. I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in History, also having taken papers in Classics and Theology. I won several prizes during my degree, including three prize scholarships and the Roy Porter Prize for History in my second year. Hello, I'm Madeleine! I did my GCSEs and A-levels in London, and I am currently studying Anthropology and English at Queen's University Belfast. I tutor for English Literature and Language at GCSE and English Literature at A-level. As a tutor, I enjoy raising students' confidence in their ability to revise and to show their best work in exams. I did my GCSEs and A-levels at St Claudine's Catholic School for Girls in London. I got nine GCSEs (6-9), including English Literature (9) and Language (9), Geography (9), Religious Studies (9), and Mathematics (8). At A-level, I studied English Literature (A*), Religious Studies (A), and Geography (B). During Sixth form, I started tutoring friends and family in GSCE English. I took a gap year to work, continued tutoring, and I am currently in my first year at Queen's University Belfast studying Anthropology and English.
