Hi! I’m Mehmood, 19 years old and currently studying medicine (MBBS) at Hull York Medical School. While I absolutely love studying, I have many other passions that burn just as brightly — I’m into sports, gym, and cycling, and I’m always open to trying new ones! Some cool facts about me: I speak English, Pashto and Urdu. Also, I have a 4-year-old tabby cat called Misty, and I’m one of six siblings! I then studied biology, psychology, and chemistry at Loreto Sixth Form College, earning A*AB in my A-levels. During my medical school application, I achieved a UCAT score of 2750 Band 1, securing four medical school interviews and ultimately firming Hull York Medical School—where I am currently studying medicine (MBBS). Alongside my academic journey, I’ve been a private tutor for the past two years, helping students build confidence and achieve top grades in science and math. I also completed a 3-week teaching internship at COOP Academy, delivering science lessons to Year 8 and 9 students. Additionally, I’ve gained valuable clinical experience working in GP practices and hospital settings, consulting with patients and developing strong communication and empathy skills. My educational background reflects a strong foundation in science and a passion for teaching. I recently graduated from Newcastle University with a Masters in Maths and Stats, and I’ve always enjoyed helping others with maths. Whether it’s supporting friends through GCSEs, A-Levels, or university work, or helping my younger brother prepare for his GCSEs, I love making tricky topics easier to understand. I completed my GCSEs at St Bede's Catholic High School in Ormskirk, my A-Levels at Runshaw College in Leyland, and completed my Masters in Maths and Stats at Newcastle University in which I achieved a first and was given an award for my fourth year research project. I am comfortable and experienced in GCSE maths, A-Level maths, and beyond.
