About me: I am completing my Physics degree at the University of Manchester and used to compete in Physics and Astronomy competitions at school, which inspired me to pursue a career as a scientist. One of my hobbies is astronomy, especially stargazing and tracking meteors during meteor showers. Still, my true passion is to make knowledge accessible to as many people as possible and use science to make the world a slightly better place. I graduated from one of the most elite high schools in my home country, which focused on Maths and Computer science. I used to compete in Physics and Astronomy competitions and olympiads, where I was one of the top-performing students. Before I studied Physics, I studied Architecture for two years at the same university - I wanted to try something different, since I love arts and see myself as a very creative person, but realised that science was my true passion and switched to Physics, where you find me now. I have worked several part-time jobs and completed several internships to support myself alongside my studies. These include an internship as a civil servant, part of the Government Operational Research Service, and the National Teaching Internship Programme, provided by the Department of Education. The teaching internship involved teaching GCSE and A-level Maths and Physics to students between years 7 and 12 in a few local schools and colleges. This experience helped me realise how much I enjoy teaching, fostering critical thinking skills in others, and guiding them towards discovering their passions. It also taught me how inclusive and expansive science can be and how crucial education is.

Milo here - an incoming first year medical student and aspiring surgeon, with a passion for medical education. Outside the lecture hall, you’ll find me pushing limits in the gym or tackling challenging trails on my mountain bike, always chasing my next adventure. I’m a life long learner and crave knowledge - I feel a high degree of satisfaction passing on this knowledge throughout my time as a tutor, from breaking down complex theories into understandable chunks of information, to finally being able to answer that tricky exam question; I will be there to support you in your journey through the education system. My teaching style consists of ensuring fundamental topics are well understood - thus building on this foundation with direct application to exam board questions. I do not teach outside of the relevant specification. Once content is well understood, lessons with me will be almost entirely exam question based, working through past paper questions together or sharing thought processes - working with me will ensure you are ready for your GCSE and A-Level exams. Hello, I'm Sophie, a 20 year old second year Undergraduate student studying Modern Languages at University. I have an enthusiasm for languages and genuinely enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. I can guarantee you’ll have productive and enjoyable sessions with me. In my free time I enjoy dancing Latin dances such as Bachata and Salsa, am a white belt in Jiu-jitsu and like socialising as well as practicing my language skills. I am fluent in Russian due to my heritage, and have visited Moscow annually during the summer holidays. I have previous experience in having tutored 3 GCSE students while juggling with my A levels and helped them achieve their goals. In addition, I participated in online language classes back in 2022 for Berlitz Oxford Language Centre as a role of a teacher assistant, and currently volunteer at Insituto Cervantes London so I am very familiar with the tutoring/teacher role. Currently, I am offering tutoring in Spanish from KS3, GCSE to A levels.
