Hello. I'm Debs, nice to meet you. I tutor a range of subjects, all based on experience of teaching within school, college and less tradiitional settings. I love tutoring one to one as that is the best way to give the student exactly what they need. I teach Sociology, Business and English at GCSE and A level and I have experience of AQA and Edexcel exam boards. I have also taught Btec Business level 1-3 In 2023 I completed a Master's degree in Philosophy as I love learning new things just as much as I love to teach. I make learning fun wherever possible and tailor every lesson to the student's needs. I use a variety of methods so you won't get bored and I am always happy to answer questions and re-explain things. There's no such thing as a silly question! I have been tutoring with GoStudent for six months now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Please note I do not take adult learners at this time. I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in History, also having taken papers in Classics and Theology. I won several prizes during my degree, including three prize scholarships and the Roy Porter Prize for History in my second year. Prior to my degree, I took three A-Levels in History, Maths and English, receiving all A*s, and prior to that, ten GCSEs, receiving all 9s.

I am a graduate from Bayes Business School with a passion for tutoring and education. After completing my O and A levels, I realized the importance of personalized academic support in making a smooth transition between educational stages. I firmly believe that having access to tailored tutoring during my own studies would have greatly enhanced my confidence and academic performance. I also broadened my academic experience with a semester abroad at the University of Texas, Austin. My specializations lie in marketing, strategy, business communication, management, and business innovation. Through both my academic and professional experiences, I have developed a well-rounded skill set that positions me well for roles in marketing, business development, and strategic management.
