Hello! I'm Ali. I'm in my third year at the University of Edinburgh, studying English Literature. Having achieved almost 100% in my A level and GCSE English Lit/Lang courses, my goal as a tutor is not only to improve your grades, but provide you with the techniques that beat the system. English is more formulaic than you think, and I can't wait to show you how to ace it all. I'm passionate about drama, cooking and poetry and my favourite book is the Great Gatsby! I love to teach and share my passion for English and I'm looking forward to learning more about you! I have availability for students as per my calendar availability. I also work with students on a weekly basis at a minimum to ensure momentum and consistency for the student. My latest start time for lessons is 6pm and I start lessons on the hour to maximise my availability for students. I have been an educator and trainer for over 17 years and love nothing more than seeing students achieve their goals. I am a scuba diving instructor as my main role and work all over the world. I enjoy watching Netflix and love diving even when I am not in work. I have been lucky to see a lot of the world through all my roles during my career. I tutor 11+, English up to the end of year 9 only and also tutor mathematics and science up to GCSE. I have knowledge of all UK countries curriculum and also the German curriculum. I myself completed the 11+ equivalent when younger and understand the commitment and learning that is needed to succeed. My favourite subjects in school were maths, science and physical education. I am also experienced in working with children with additional learning needs.

After finishing the official exams under the general sciences section, I started studying architecture at the university and thank God I got my bachelor and master! I am now studying theology. With a lot of experience in teaching the subjects mentioned in the upper section, I now enjoy adding some tips and games to the sessions!
