Hi, my name is Mads! I am currently attending the University St Andrews, studying for an MLitt in Intellectual History, which is essentially the history of learning and thinking. I recently graduated from the University of Warwick with a first class BA in Modern History. I’m a friendly and approachable tutor, excited to share my love for learning. I teach subjects I have studied previously and still integrate into the focus of my degree, so I continue to study them now! I love animals, board games and books, and look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for my subjects. I achieved top A-level results, including the highest mark in Europe in Pure Maths in 2022, and I’ve continued to perform at a high level in my degree. I completed my secondary education at Apostolos Markos Lyceum in Cyprus, where I developed a strong foundation in mathematics and science. During my final year, I achieved first place in the 2022 Pancyprian Mathematics Competition, a national-level award recognising top mathematical ability. I then completed A-levels in Pure Mathematics, earning the highest mark in Europe in A-level Pure Mathematics. I am currently studying Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Manchester, one of the UK’s top universities. I have just completed my first year with a first-class overall mark of 82.583%, excelling in both theoretical and applied mathematics modules. My university coursework has further deepened my understanding of algebra, calculus, statistics, and logical problem solving. This background has given me the tools and confidence to support students at GCSE and A-level, particularly in Maths, and I am passionate about sharing that knowledge in a clear, structured way.

I have just started university and I am eager to help my students in a supportive way with a dynamic based on mutual respect. Outside of my studies I love to watch football, go on hikes in the South Downs and read the financial times, as I am of course interested in any developments in markets. I went to Sackville School, East Grinstead and completed 12 GCSE's and one level 2 certificate in Further Maths, all at grade 7 and above. I then progressed to my A-Levels, achieving A*AAA in Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Physics. During my time I also gained a Gold Certificate in the Senior Maths Challenge and participated in the Senior Maths Kangaroo, whilst also participating in the FCDO Next generation Economics essay competition.

Hi, I’m Caleb Jackson, a passionate and committed math teacher who enjoys guiding students through the fascinating world of mathematics. I aim to make math lessons engaging and meaningful by using interactive methods, practical real-life examples, and thoughtful problem-solving activities that help students grow in confidence and curiosity. I believe that when students feel comfortable and motivated, learning becomes both effective and enjoyable. In my free time, I enjoy playing chess, which helps sharpen my thinking skills and keeps my mind active and creative. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Mindanao State University, where I developed a strong foundation in mathematical concepts, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Applied Physics at the University of San Carlos in Cebu, which further strengthens my ability to connect mathematical theories with practical and real-world applications. My academic training allows me to design clear, engaging lessons, adapt to different learning styles, and support students in building confidence and achieving their academic goals.
