Hello! I’m Kyrie Zalyn, an educator with a strong foundation in Psychology and over five years of teaching experience for both English and Math. What drives me as a teacher is my passion for helping students realize their full potential—academically and personally. My approach blends structure with creativity, making learning both meaningful and enjoyable. With a background in psychology, I understand how students think, learn, and stay motivated. I use that knowledge to design lessons that are engaging, interactive, and tailored to each learner’s pace and personality. Whether it’s refining communication skills or solving complex equations, I aim to create a space where students feel confident, curious, and capable. Beyond teaching, I’m a professional chess master and a language enthusiast—constantly learning, just like my students. I believe that the best classrooms are built on connection, encouragement, and growth, and I strive to bring that energy into every session. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. I’m also a certified TEFL teacher with over five years of experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and learning levels. In addition to teaching, I’ve led teams as a chess athlete and coach with a title of "Woman National Master" in the field of chess. Also, I continue to grow by exploring new languages and learning strategies. I believe in creating a classroom where students feel supported, understood, and inspired to reach their goals—one lesson at a time.

I have also been a tutor and substitute teacher for International Baccalaureate Schools in Copenhagen for 3 years (International School of Hellerup and Copenhagen International School). I did my Bachelors degree at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh and my Masters degree at the University of Glasgow in Astrophysics. I graduated with merit, and I have been teaching private classes ever since. Other than having a passion for physics and maths, as well as a love of communicating it, I also play guitar, write poetry, and go hiking. I did my Bachelors degree at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh. My Bachelor's thesis was about cell wall imaging using total internal reflection. I did my Masters degree at the University of Glasgow in Astrophysics, graduating with Merit, and did my thesis on the modelling of black holes using python.

Many of these key skills in teaching have been gained through experience in part-time work as a volunteer assistant teacher, educational programs, and personal projects, while also picking up many skills from my parents given they are also teachers. I am Currently learning Spanish and Turkish and have recently taken up indoor climbing and in particular bouldering as a hobby. I enjoy reading and researching about not only topics associated with Chemical Engineering but on many different subjects, from geography to psychology, particularly through attending seminars and creating strong relationships with those from other disciplines. I enjoy travel and experiencing different cultures. Having travelled to Russia, North America, and Europe. Recently travelled to Geneva to take a guided tour round CERN, observe the LHC and converse with many leading minds at the forefront of scientific discovery. Completed 10 GCSE's including Maths, English and Sciences at Langley Secondary School, Solihull Achieved 3 A levels in Maths, Chemistry and Physics from Solihull Sixth Form College Have a First Class BEng degree form the University of Hull and will graduate with a First Class MEng degree in chemical engineering in July 2026 from the University of Hull
