Hi! I’m Mehmood, 19 years old and currently studying medicine (MBBS) at Hull York Medical School. While I absolutely love studying, I have many other passions that burn just as brightly — I’m into sports, gym, and cycling, and I’m always open to trying new ones! Some cool facts about me: I speak English, Pashto and Urdu. Also, I have a 4-year-old tabby cat called Misty, and I’m one of six siblings! I’d describe myself as calm, composed, and confident—and I’m excited to share my tips and tricks to help others rise to the top of their academics. I attended St. Peter's RC High School in Gorton, where I studied separate sciences, business, geography, religious studies, and core subjects, achieving 6 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s. I then studied biology, psychology, and chemistry at Loreto Sixth Form College, earning A*AB in my A-levels. During my medical school application, I achieved a UCAT score of 2750 Band 1, securing four medical school interviews and ultimately firming Hull York Medical School—where I am currently studying medicine (MBBS). Alongside my academic journey, I’ve been a private tutor for the past two years, helping students build confidence and achieve top grades in science and math. I also completed a 3-week teaching internship at COOP Academy, delivering science lessons to Year 8 and 9 students. Additionally, I’ve gained valuable clinical experience working in GP practices and hospital settings, consulting with patients and developing strong communication and empathy skills. My educational background reflects a strong foundation in science and a passion for teaching. I’m excited to share the strategies and insights that helped me succeed and to support students in reaching their full academic potential.

My name is Santosh Gopalan, an I am a graduate from the University of Surrey with an Honours degree in Economics. As a friendly and approachable tutor, I am passionate bout helping students not just understand maths, but genuinely enjoy it. I am an experienced maths tutor based in Glasgow. I received my maths degree from the University of Glasgow and have tutored and range of age groups from primary school age, through to high school and also undergraduate. I am passionate about learning and believe that learning is about enjoyment and practicality. I enjoy helping people succeed and ultimately seeing people become more confident within themselves. Hello! My name is Mark and I’m a graduate from Northumbria University with a 1st class Physics BSc with honours. I like to focus my sessions on the areas of a subject that you struggle with the most, starting from the beginning and building a strong understanding that you can use in the classroom and your exams. My sessions are pupil-led, where I am there to provide guidance, direction, examples and support. I love physics, especially the topics of space and energy, and I think that a passionate teacher can make even the most difficult subjects more approachable. I have experience tutoring, helping local pupils with their physics over COVID lock-downs. I look forward to meeting you!
