I am a first year biomedical science student at Queen Mary University of London. I have a passion for science and mathematics and enjoy being able to help others achieve their unique goals. I have had a years worth of experiencing in tutoring people between the ages of 5 and 16 years old and I am looking forward to being able to work with a wider range of students. I studies for my GCSEs at Westcliff High School for Girls and achieved the grades 9998888776. I then studied my A Levels (maths, biology and chemistry) at Southend High School for Girls where I achieved ABB. I am now currently in my first year of studying an undergraduate degree at Queen Mary University of London for biomedical sciences. I have spent a year with the company KipMcGrath where I was a student tutor for people between the ages of 5 and 16 years old in subjects including English, Mathematics and Science.

I am looking forward to being able to meet new people through teaching online, coaching my students may have with their subjects in a fun, friendly, and engaging manner! I have also assisted undergraduate students from various fields by helping them write critical reviews, appraisals, and essays. My support primarily focuses on elements such as organization, structure, critical analysis, research, secondary reading, and writing. I have provided guidance to students in different disciplines to enhance their writing skills and improve the quality of their academic work.

I teach senior high school mathematics at all levels, from foundational to advanced. With years of experience as a government tax specialist and roles as a system analyst, programmer, and statistician in IT, I transitioned to teaching, which has always been my passion. I began tutoring in college to support my expenses and discovered the rewarding challenge of working with a student with dyscalculia. Through tailored strategies and building strong rapport, she succeeded. My diverse background has made me resourceful and innovative, enhancing my effectiveness in both teaching and problem-solving. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from St. Scholastica’s College, Manila, where I completed challenging courses such as Calculus, Statistical Analysis, Number Theory, and Linear Algebra. I also pursued post-graduate studies in Mathematics Education at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, focusing on educational strategies and child development, with research on learning disabilities. Although I couldn’t complete my thesis due to budget constraints, I am skilled in teaching all levels of mathematics, including Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Statistics, and Business Mathematics.
