Hi! I’m Amarachi, a Chemical Engineering student at the University of Nottingham. I teach Chemistry, Physics, and Maths, and I’m passionate about making these subjects engaging and easy to understand. As a patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic tutor, I enjoy helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, listening to music, and practicing taekwondo, and I always appreciate getting to know my students' interests as well. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Chemical Engineering at the University of Nottingham. At A level, I achieved grades A in Chemistry, Physics, and Maths, and at GCSE, I earned grades 8–9 in Triple Science, Maths, French and English Literature and Language. I have a strong understanding of the AQA, Pearson Edexcel, and OCR exam boards for both GCSE and A level.

I’m a medical student with a passion for teaching Biology, Science, and Maths at primary and GCSE levels. Almost 10 years in higher education, I’ve learned two key things: 1) Every student can succeed with the right teaching approach, and 2) Learning should be active, using techniques like spaced repetition and active recall. I focus on breaking down complex topics, using examples, mnemonics, and past papers to help students understand. I’m patient and adaptable, always ready to find new ways to explain concepts if needed. Outside of academics, I’m passionate about sports, gaming, and tech. I’ve coached an under-15 basketball team and teach guitar at my church, which helps me connect with students and build trust to boost their confidence and performance. I graduated from Glasgow in 2020 with a 2:1 in Biomedical Sciences and am currently pursuing a medical degree. My strong academic background in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, English, and Geography enables me to offer well-rounded and insightful tutoring.

Hello! My name is Emma, and I am a second-year Accounting and Finance student at Lancaster University. I achieved 9 GCSEs, ranging from 7-9, which allowed me to study Chemistry, Economics and Maths. I also gained an A* in my EPQ, which I completed in year 12, giving me crucial skills that I have carried forward to my degree. I have been tutoring for 8 months. During this time, I have helped prepare primary school students for their SATS and gained more confidence with maths in the classroom. I also prepared year 11 and 13 students for their GCSE and A levels by covering content they were unsure of and practising exam techniques. I previously gained experience mentoring GCSE students at my school. I am a student with dyslexia, so I understand the challenges students face in classroom settings. Anyone can be successful, which is why my sessions are student-led, so that they are catered towards each individual's learning style. If you are unsure of this throughout my school career, I have learnt different methods that work for me and would love to pass them on to others so that we can find a technique that works for you. I attended Rugby School, where I completed my GCSEs and A levels, and now I have gone on to study for a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University, where my ambition is to become an ACA Chartered Accountant. Having studied Chemistry, Economics and Maths at A level, I offer tutoring for students up to and including year 11 in Maths and Chemistry and then Economics up to and including year 13 students.

Hello, I'm Sophie, a 20 year old second year Undergraduate student studying Modern Languages at University. I have an enthusiasm for languages and genuinely enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. I can guarantee you’ll have productive and enjoyable sessions with me. In my free time I enjoy dancing Latin dances such as Bachata and Salsa, am a white belt in Jiu-jitsu and like socialising as well as practicing my language skills. I am fluent in Russian due to my heritage, and have visited Moscow annually during the summer holidays. I have previous experience in having tutored 3 GCSE students while juggling with my A levels and helped them achieve their goals. In addition, I participated in online language classes back in 2022 for Berlitz Oxford Language Centre as a role of a teacher assistant, and currently volunteer at Insituto Cervantes London so I am very familiar with the tutoring/teacher role. Currently, I am offering tutoring in Spanish from KS3, GCSE to A levels.
