Hi there, My name is V and I am currently a full-time science teacher at a secondary school along with being a student from the University of Cambridge. I did my teacher training at the University of Cambridge and my Undergate degree at the University of Southampton in BSc Biomedical Sciences. I specialise mainly in Chemistry and Biology, due to the nature of my previous degree. I have tons of experience when it comes to working with young people due to NCS mentoring, Tutoring, and Teaching for the past 3 years. Apart from the academic side, I enjoy writing plays, acting, dancing, and playing sports such as Kabbadi and Kho (Indian sports). Hi, I’m Maite! I’m a native German speaker and teach German at all levels — Primary, GCSE, and A-Level. Besides German and English, I also speak French and Spanish. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies with a minor in Educational Science, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural learning, communication, and how to make complex ideas accessible. During my time at university, I spent over three years tutoring children of different ages, working in a programme led by the German federal government to support children from migrant and refugee backgrounds in their school learning. I am now excited to work with adults as well. When I think back to my own school years, the teachers who inspired me most were those whose honest passion made even my least favourite subjects enjoyable. That’s the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons: engaging, light, and enjoyable. Outside tutoring, I teach meditation and mindfulness and support a charity creatively, which helps me bring patience, flexibility, and creativity into my teaching. I tailor lessons to each student — whether you need grammar support, speaking practice, exam preparation, or a personalised lesson to build confidence at your own pace, or simply want to learn German out of interest and enjoyment. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies and Educational Science, which I completed at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. I specialised in cultural theory and visual culture and spent an Erasmus semester at Université Bordeaux Montaigne in France. In addition, I hold a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate, complemented by an additional 50 hours of training in meditation.

I am passionate about helping students reach their academic goals by making learning clear, structured, and enjoyable. I believe every student has the ability to excel when given the right guidance and support. With strong skills in organisation, communication, and critical analysis, I ensure that lessons are not only effective but also build lasting confidence. My approach combines professionalism with approachability, allowing students to feel comfortable while being challenged to achieve their best. I am currently a student at the university of Dundee. I have increased my knowledge through experiences with top law firms to supporting patients in healthcare areas which has allowed me to strengthen my communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain things clearly. I’ve also helped several students improve their understanding of subjects and grow in confidence with their learning. As a tutor, I take a supportive and adaptable approach as my degree encourages me to understand that every student learns differently so I tailor lessons to suit individual needs. My aim is to make learning both effective and enjoyable, helping students achieve results while building lasting skills they can carry forward.

Hello! My name is Toby and I am a current student at the University of Reading, studying Pharmacology. I previously attained 3 A-Levels for Chemistry, Biology and Geography as well as tutoring my sisters/family friends during their GCSEs too. I have some great hands on experience at tutoring and I strive for success! My favourite hobbies outside of education is probably skateboarding and making music and I love dogs. :) Previously I attended Penistone Grammar School for secondary education, as I am originally from Sheffield. I took separate sciences for one of my GCSE choices as well as geography and business study’s and achieved 8s in all of these. After this I attended Penistone grammar school 6th form for my A-Levels. I enjoyed it here a lot where I then studied Chemistry, Biology and Geography. From here I achieved all my A-Levels and now go to the University of Reading and study Pharmacology.
