Hi, I'm Matty and I am a first year mechanical engineering student at the university of Sheffield looking to tutor physics at GCSE or A-level students. I'm a patient, relaxed person who has always had a passion for learning and teaching physics. I believe I have a great process for learning sciences, especially physics, that produces deep understanding and great results. I have been tutoring online since April 2018, predominantly helping overseas students learn English as a foreign language. My goal is to make learning an exciting adventure, whether it's through English, math, or basic computer programming. When I'm not in the virtual classroom, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, experimenting in the kitchen, traveling, watching good series, and, of course, dancing. I am a graduate of Polytechnic University of the Philippines, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. In addition to my degree, I hold certifications as a Licensed Professional Teacher, TEFL, and EF SET. My specializations include teaching subjects like English, mathematics, and basic computer programming. I’m a 21 year old dental student studying in Bulgaria. I’ve taught students in the past, mainly during their GCSEs and A Levels, and I’m really excited to start teaching again. I’ve always been passionate about helping others learn because not only does it allow me to support students in building their confidence and understanding but it also strengthens my own knowledge. Outside of teaching, I love baking, painting, and playing sports like badminton :) I attended Nower Hill High School for both GCSEs and A-Levels. For GCSEs I achieved grades 9, 8, 8 in Biology, Chemistry and Maths respectively. For A-levels I achieved grades AAB in Biology, Maths and Chemistry respectively.
