Hello! My name is Emma, and I am a second-year Accounting and Finance student at Lancaster University. I achieved 9 GCSEs, ranging from 7-9, which allowed me to study Chemistry, Economics and Maths. I also gained an A* in my EPQ, which I completed in year 12, giving me crucial skills that I have carried forward to my degree. I have been tutoring for 8 months. During this time, I have helped prepare primary school students for their SATS and gained more confidence with maths in the classroom. I also prepared year 11 and 13 students for their GCSE and A levels by covering content they were unsure of and practising exam techniques. I previously gained experience mentoring GCSE students at my school. I am a student with dyslexia, so I understand the challenges students face in classroom settings. Anyone can be successful, which is why my sessions are student-led, so that they are catered towards each individual's learning style. I attended Rugby School, where I completed my GCSEs and A levels, and now I have gone on to study for a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University, where my ambition is to become an ACA Chartered Accountant. Hi! My name is Tan. The subjects that I teach are Geography, Psychology, and English to students of all ages. I’m patient, approachable, and enjoy helping others to achieve to their fullest potential. In my free time I love anything animal, nature, or geography related and I love spending time with my dog Reginald! At school I achieved 9 GCSEs grades 9-6, I then completed my A-Levels in English Literature, Psychology, and Geography where I achieved AAB. I went on to study Psychology at the University of Westminster. I have been tutoring for 9 years while I was at school and during university. I also have experience teaching students with various SEN needs.
