Hello! I’m Jiffrey, and I’m thrilled to be your English teacher. With 9 years of experience, I’ve dedicated my career to creating lessons that educate, excite, and inspire. I believe learning should be dynamic and interactive, with engaging activities and lively discussions. Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing musical instruments, video editing, and dancing. Let’s make this journey exciting and full of growth! I can’t wait to see you thrive in class. I graduated from Philippine Normal University with a Bachelor's in Secondary Education, majoring in English. I’m also TEFL certified and passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers. My education has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to teach effectively, and I continuously seek professional development opportunities to stay current with teaching methodologies and best practices. My background in journalism further enhances my ability to communicate concepts clearly and creatively.

I have always been curious and love solving problems, which led me to study biochemistry at university before moving into software development. I enjoy challenges, whether it’s in science, coding, or everyday life, and I find it really rewarding to figure things out. During lockdown, I even taught myself how to solve a Rubik’s Cube, which was a fun way to test my patience and problem-solving skills. Beyond work, I love learning new things through reading and watching documentaries. Exploring different cultures is also something I’m really passionate about—I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing different ways of life. I believe that learning is a lifelong journey, and I enjoy helping others grow and develop their own skills. With a curious mind and a love for challenges, I’m always excited to take on new opportunities and share my knowledge with others. I attended Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls, where I completed my GCSEs and A-levels. After that, I pursued my passion for science by studying biochemistry at the University of Warwick. I dedicated myself to my studies and graduated with an upper second-class degree.

I was born in Greater London, and have 3 sisters. I am a very sporty person, my favourite sport is tennis! I also enjoy playing the piano and playing video games in my free time. My Education: GCSEs: I received 7 9s, 1 8 and 2 7s A Levels: A*s in Maths, Further Maths and Spanish, A in History Currently working towards a degree in Mathematics at university Other Qualifications: I have done piano up to Grade 7, and am currently working on Grade 8 Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award I have also worked as a volunteer in helping to coach young children to play tennis I have had a lot of previous tutoring experience , for example I used to work at a company where I tutored Maths and English to students at all levels up to GCSE.
