Hello! I am a maths tutor with over 9 years of teaching experience. I enjoy helping students understand maths in a clear and simple way while building their confidence. I teach students from primary level to GCSE and A Level, focusing on strong fundamentals, problem solving skills, and helping students feel comfortable asking questions. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Mathematics, where I developed strong numerical and analytical skills. I also completed an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science with Mathematics, which strengthened my knowledge in mathematics, statistics, and logical problem solving. Hi, I’m Lily and I’m a 19 year old student at the University of Leeds currently on my second year of completing the joint-honours degree of Spanish and International Relations. I have a passion for tutoring and I have been doing it for years in multiple different secondary schools, so I know how to engage with students and adapt my teaching methods to the particular student to ensure they can achieve the highest grade possible in a fun and relaxed setting. I teach Spanish after studying the language at GCSE, A-level, and degree level, so I would say I have expert knowledge in this area to help students who are keen to learn of all ages. We can have fun whilst we learn as I truly believe you learn the most and remember the most when you are enjoying what you are doing. Outside of studying and tutoring I love to play instruments like the guitar and the piano, and I also kick-box and dance. I love to keep myself busy and to help elevate others to be the best versions of themselves which is why I love to tutor, and this year I will be teaching English in Spain. Let's work together to achieve your academic goals! I am currently a gap year student and I have achieved A*A*A in my A levels in Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science respectively. I held offers from UCL, LSE, Manchester and Warwick and will be going on to study Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Warwick. I am also confident in tutoring mathematics admissions exams such as the MAT and TMUA after achieving 7.6 in my TMUA. I have experience as a tutor working in a maths centre (Mathnasium). In that fast-paced environment, I worked with students ranging from years 4 to 11, which taught me how to quickly identify a student's unique learning style and adapt my teaching on the spot.

I have been tutoring with GoStudent for almost a year now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Please note I do not take adult learners at this time. I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in History, also having taken papers in Classics and Theology. I won several prizes during my degree, including three prize scholarships and the Roy Porter Prize for History in my second year. Prior to my degree, I took three A-Levels in History, Maths and English, receiving all A*s, and prior to that, ten GCSEs, receiving all 9s.
