I am a passionate Science Teacher who has a love for making complex concepts simple and engaging. I am experienced in creating interactive lessons that spark curiosity and foster deep understanding. I am dedicated to inspiring the next generation of scientists. I have experience teaching secondary school students, with both Edexcel and AQA exam boards. I attended the University of Lincoln and achieved a degree in Forensic Science. I continued my education in Forensic Anthropology. I then worked as a Personal Effects Specialist during a mass disaster, followed by working in a Microbiology laboratory. I started teaching the Royal Navy in Sea Survival and First Aid before I began Teach First. I worked in a school teaching secondary science whilst achieving my PGDE.

Hi! I’m Saarah, a Psychology student at the University of Leicester with a strong passion for understanding how the mind and body work together. What makes me stand out is my unique combination of interests in psychology, maths, and biology. While psychology helps me explore behaviour and mental processes, biology deepens my understanding of the brain, nervous system, and the science behind how we function. Maths, on the other hand, sharpens my analytical skills and helps me approach problems logically. I love how these subjects connect—biology gives me a solid scientific foundation, psychology brings in the human experience, and maths provides the tools to analyse and interpret data. This blend allows me to explain complex ideas in a clear, engaging way. I’m patient, friendly, and always aim to adapt to your learning style. I completed my GCSEs at Rushey Mead Secondary and A-levels at Beauchamp City Sixth Form with a strong academic record, focusing on subjects such as Psychology, Biology, and Maths—areas that reflect my interest in both the sciences and analytical thinking. These subjects helped me build a solid foundation for my current studies. I’m now pursuing a Psychology degree at the University of Leicester, where I’m deepening my understanding of human behaviour, cognitive processes, and mental health. My degree also includes research and statistical analysis, which ties in well with my appreciation for maths. Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a PhD in Psychology to further specialise and contribute to the field through research and practice. My academic journey has not only strengthened my subject knowledge but also taught me discipline, effective study strategies, and the importance of curiosity in learning.
