I would describe my teaching style as engaging and adaptable I maintain an open stance towards feedback and novel ideas. I encourage my students to think beyond conventional boundaries, nurturing their unique style and thought paradigm. I strive to push them to present convincing and innovative points. However, I make lessons very practical; there is a science behind English and I can teach anybody how to improve because I know that. I am passionate about English because I believe it is an evergreen discipline. I love the theories and conversations that English illuminates and evokes in all its forms. Studying English language and literature was truly inspiring for me. My A level studies encompassed a multi-modal exploration, including speeches, plays, books, diaries, interviews, poems, comics, and blogs. This comprehensive exploration challenged me to grasp the nuanced aspects of communication, persuasion and emotion. Moreover, it granted me the opportunity to glean insights from numerous authors representing diverse cultural and historical backgrounds. Hence, I am a better communicator and empathetic person which shines through my teaching. Hi, I'm Hannah, a 2nd year chemistry student at the University of York. I like teaching and would love to help others reach their full potential in maths and sciences, creating an encouraging and supportive environment such that they can improve, achieve their goals and start to enjoy the subjects as much as I do. Aside from academics, I like hiking, reading and swimming. I gave also started learning crochet and knitting. I am a 2nd year student at the University of York on the MChem Chemistry with a Year in Industry undergraduate course. Before that, I went to Chelmsford County High School for Girls where I did 10 GCSEs (English language, English literature, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, French, German and Geography, all grade 9), HPQ and FSMQ (both As). I continued there at sixth form, where I got As in German and EPQ and A*s in Maths, Chemistry and Physics, and started mentoring students.
