Hi, my name is Tasadaq Ali. I am a 3rd year Medical Student at the University of Sheffield. In my GCSEs, I achieved a grade 9 in Chemistry and a grade 8 in Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Physics. In my A-Levels, I achieved AAA in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I enjoy teaching and I have been doing it for quite some time now. Even in University, I have volunteered to teach the younger years about Medicine and when it comes to online tutoring, I have had a good amount of experience when it comes to teaching GCSE content to students. I really enjoy getting to meet all the new people I have the privilege of teaching and in a way this job is very rewarding for me because I know just how much of an impact tutoring can have on not only a student's performance in their exams but also their confidence when it comes to various topics. In my spare time I like to play football, watch documentaries and best of all spend time with my friends. Thank you :) For secondary school, I attended Ermysteds Grammar School in Skipton. The school required an 11+ exam for entry which I comfortably passed. During my GCSEs, although my year was the year in which COVID cancelled our exams, I was still able to walk away with a grade 9 in Chemistry, a grade 8 in Maths, Further Maths, Biology and Physics, a grade 7 in Geography and a grade 6 in English Language, English Literature, History and Design/Technology. I stayed at Ermysteds for sixth form to study for my A-Levels. In the end I achieved AAA in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. And as of now, I am in my third year of Medical School with hopes one day of becoming a Cardiologist.

In English, I enjoy reading into a text and finding deeper meanings to better understand the writer’s intentions and message. In Maths, I enjoy working through difficult questions, and using my problem solving skills to reach the answer. My hobbies include reading and writing, ice skating, and anything creative. I have worked with young people previously, volunteering as a Young Leader and, more recently, a Unit Helper in Girlguiding. I was also a reading ‘Super-tutor’ in my school’s reading programme, designed to help Year 7 students boost their confidence and skill in reading, meaning I would step in to cover for any tutors who were absent when they planned to meet with their assigned tutee, and I oversaw the running of the programme as a whole. Hi! I'm Michaelangelos, a mathematics graduate from the University of St Andrews (MMath) and incoming PhD student at the University of Glasgow. I've been tutoring maths for several years, including Higher and National 5, and it's something I genuinely love doing. What I care most about is helping students build real confidence and intuition, not just memorise steps. Maths can feel intimidating, and I get a lot of satisfaction from being the person who helps make it click, whether that's turning anxiety into understanding, or helping a curious student go further than they thought possible. I'm equally excited to work with students who find maths difficult and scary as I am to work with those who want to push themselves and become really strong mathematically. Whatever your starting point, I'll meet you there. I am currently an incoming PhD student at the University of Glasgow, where my research focuses on dissecting neural networks, specifically regarding optimisation and generalisation. Prior to this, I completed an Integrated Master of Mathematics (MMath) at the University of St Andrews. During my time at St Andrews, I was placed on the Dean's List consecutively and achieved first-class averages in my final two years of study. I also spent an exchange year at Western University during the 2024-2025 academic year. My academic background is deeply rooted in advanced mathematics and computational science. My master’s dissertation, which earned a 90% grade and was highly commended for the Duncan Prize, focused on a posteriori methods for error control via the reconstruction technique. My key areas of study have included stochastic dynamics, statistical machine learning, financial mathematics, neural networks, and data analytics consulting. Through these experiences, I have developed strong technical proficiencies in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, SQL, and R, along with various machine learning frameworks.
