Hi! I’m Catherine Solomon, a tutor passionate about turning tricky concepts into “aha!” moments. I teach Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Basic Science, Math, and English, breaking down complex topics into simple steps. My goal is to create a positive space where learning is fun, clear, and rewarding! I hold a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, where I honed problem-solving skills and discovered a passion for teaching as a part-time tutor in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Science, and Math. I’ve also taught English to diverse learners, helping students confidently achieve their academic goals.

Hi James here, from South Africa. After 20 years of secondary school classroom teaching in English and History, I am branching out into online teaching. I taught in London, at Walthamstow for my probationary year in 1991, and have since taught in South Africa, in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. I am a published poet, and author. My first novel, ARAM OF EDOM is doing really well. I run Parkrun, grow and sell organic vegetables, and enjoy wilderness walking. Hi James here again. I battled at school, with special learning needs, but I have managed to do well after school, earning B.A (1985) and B. Ed (1996) degrees, at Wits University in Johannesburg. I have a Masters Degree in Theology (Regent College, Vancouver, B.C., 2001) and a PhD in Church History (University of KwaZulu-Natal, 2016). I am a great believer that education happens every day for our whole lives. Language opens doors to learn new things every day. I especially enjoty learning new things about English, or about how we learn, in every single GoStudent lesson.

I’m passionate about teaching and problem-solving. I keep learning new techniques to solve the problems and help students in growing their area. I specialise in Maths and Physics at secondary school level, particularly GCSE. I’ve spent years helping classmates during my own studies and guiding my own children through GCSEs and A-Levels to improve their grades. I completed my school and university education from India and I am a Engineering graduate in Computer Science. I have worked with global corporates in IT sector. As part of my academics subjects Maths and Physics have been always my favourite and I scored A* (UK equivalent) in both.
