Growing up in a part of Ireland rich in natural beauty, I developed a passion for hiking and camping, along with music on the Uillean pipes, Violin and piano. I enjoy language learning: specifically Spanish and Russian. Naturally, my main focus is Physics, which provides a constant challenge with every strange concept introduced I attended St. Michaels College, Enniskillen for my GCSE's, of which I obtained 8 A*s and 1 A, before switching to Enniskillen Royal Grammar School in order to pursue Further Maths. Here I obtained an A*A*A* grade in Maths, Physics, and Further Maths. I’m currently studying a Physics degree at the University of Edinburgh

Hi there! I’m Teacher Michael, a 28-year-old educator based in the vibrant city of Olongapo, Zambales in the Philippines. I’ve been igniting curiosity and inspiring young minds for the past four years, and let me tell you, it’s been an incredible journey! My Teaching Philosophy I believe that learning should be as exciting as a great adventure! My classroom is a space where curiosity thrives, and every question is celebrated. Whether we’re exploring the microscopic marvels of microbiology or tackling big ideas about life and the world around us, I strive to make every lesson engaging, interactive, and relevant. What Sets Me Apart Science with a Twist: I use creative teaching methods to make even the most complex scientific concepts easy to understand and memorable. Hands-On Learning: Expect experiments, demonstrations, and real-world applications that bring theory to life. Mentorship: I’m not just here to teach—I’m here to guide, inspire, and help my students unlock their potential. Fun Facts About Me When I’m not in the classroom or the lab, you’ll find me hiking the lush trails of Zambales, working out in my local gym or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. I’m a self-proclaimed microbiology geek—yes, I do get excited about bacteria and fungi! I love turning everyday moments into teachable ones, whether it’s explaining how yeast works while baking bread or talking about ecosystems during a nature walk. My Vision My ultimate goal as a teacher is to empower my students to think critically, embrace challenges, and see the beauty of science in their daily lives. I want them to leave my class not just with knowledge, but with a lifelong passion for learning. Thanks for stopping by to learn a little about me! Let’s make learning an unforgettable adventure together! My Academic Journey I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science, which provided me with a solid foundation in science and a deep appreciation for the intricate wonders of life. Currently, I’m diving even deeper into the fascinating world of microbiology as I pursue a Master’s Degree in Medical Technology. It’s a challenging but rewarding path, and I love bringing the latest insights from my studies straight to my classroom.

I achieved A* in Economics and A's in Biology and Chemistry in my recent A-levels. Unlike typical tutors, I've been in the student's shoes, balancing A-levels, a social life, and university applications. As a gap year student aspiring to study medicine, I'm here to guide you through this challenging journey. In Year 12, I faced initial struggles, earning E, D, and C grades in Economics, Chemistry, and Biology. But within 8 months, I transformed my grades in economics achieving one of the highest marks in the country. As a student I've overcome the same roadblocks, revision hardships, and academic pressures as you. Top grades require more than just content knowledge; they demand effective hard work. Luck plays a role, but it's essentially a mathematical probability principle. With strategic effort, you can tilt the odds in your favour, no matter what challenges come your way. My tutoring sessions are personalised to each student's needs. To ensure the most effective guidance, I ask students to provide specific instructions for our sessions. This way, I can tailor my approach . My tutoring philosophy is based on a series of books / research paper i have read on educational neurosciences of how to learn most effectively which i personally implemented thus i know work for the average student . I have tutored for over 1000 hours so far - testimonials available on request . I accommodate the students as much as possible . Spaces are available but they are limited Achieved A* , A , A in alevels in 2023 in Economics , Biology , Chemistry respectively. As a student I know the struggles of taking some of the hardest alevels and balancing the workload that comes with them , I also took GCSEs in 2021 and received 12 GSCES at 9-7 grades .

I'm a medical student with 8+ years tutoring (A level / GCSE,). My expertise in chemistry / biology / maths. I have lots of experience in teaching humanity subjects such as English, sociology, and history. * Only AS chemistry and maths * I teach students at varying levels so it's important to adapt and adjust accordingly. If you're a visual learner, let's draw. If you're an auditory learner, let's discuss. If you're a note taker, let's learn the best note taking method for you! I do, however, encourage all my students to engage in spaced repetition learning. Whether we schedule that in during our sessions or if we use anki, this is probably the most important method of retaining information. Medical student with 5As in a-level biology, chemistry, maths, English, and sociology. GCSEs are all A*-A.
