My Name is teacher Nomi, I have been tutoring local students for almost 2 years now I assist students from as young as 6 years old and adults as well, I have been focusing on tutoring English and Business studies. I am very passionate about assisting students reach their learning goals, I create a comfortable learning environment for my students which makes it easier and fun to learn I have completed my national diploma in business management at Rosebank College South Africa and I have also obtained my 120 hours TEFL Certificate. I have been focusing mainly on tutoring English and Business studies to the local students in my community I also assist the grade 12 learners to prepare for their exams.

Milo here - an incoming first year medical student and aspiring surgeon, with a passion for medical education. Outside the lecture hall, you’ll find me pushing limits in the gym or tackling challenging trails on my mountain bike, always chasing my next adventure. I’m a life long learner and crave knowledge - I feel a high degree of satisfaction passing on this knowledge throughout my time as a tutor, from breaking down complex theories into understandable chunks of information, to finally being able to answer that tricky exam question; I will be there to support you in your journey through the education system. My teaching style consists of ensuring fundamental topics are well understood - thus building on this foundation with direct application to exam board questions. I do not teach outside of the relevant specification. Once content is well understood, lessons with me will be almost entirely exam question based, working through past paper questions together or sharing thought processes - working with me will ensure you are ready for your GCSE and A-Level exams. I began my academic journey at Claremont High School Academy Trust, where I excelled in my GCSEs, achieving grades between 9 and 6 across all subjects. Building on this strong foundation, I pursued A-Levels in History, Tamil, Psychology, and Religious Studies, securing impressive grades of AABB. My passion for law led me to the University of Kent, where I earned a First-Class Law LLB (Hons) degree. I am currently awaiting the results of my LLM LPC from BPP University, having successfully completed my exams. In addition to my academic achievements, I am also pursuing a diploma in Mridangam, holding a Grade 7. My education has been further enriched by practical legal experience gained through various internships and volunteer roles, providing me with valuable real-world insights. With this solid educational background, I am committed to helping students excel in their studies, offering a wealth of knowledge and a dedication to inspiring success.

ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. I'm into all sorts of things if I'm honest. I am a keen traveller (but who isn't nowadays), audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills through necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. TEACHING EXPERIENCE/PREFERENCES The subjects I teach are History, English Literature and Language for GCSE and A-level, as well as ESL English. I tend to teach students aged 14+, so from Year 9 to Year 13 or more mature students for ESL, but I do have a few students younger than this. I use a variety of teaching approaches, ranging from traditional methods of text analysis to modern forms of teaching, such as interactive quizzes, questionnaires and even YouTube videos if they benefit the students learning style. Exam Board Experience: Experience of all English assessment boards, but especially AQA and Edexcel in the, and WJEC/Eduqas and OCR to a lesser extent. Languages: English: as a first language to advanced/professional level. Turkish: fluent to college level, but nor advanced enough for teaching purposes.
