Hi! I’m Mehmood,20 years old and currently studying medicine (MBBS) at Hull York Medical School. While I absolutely love studying, I have many other passions that burn just as brightly: I’m into sports, gym, and cycling, and I’m always open to trying new ones! Some cool facts about me: I speak English, Pashto and Urdu. I attended St. Peter's RC High School in Gorton, where I studied separate sciences, business, geography, religious studies, and core subjects, achieving 6 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s. I then studied biology, psychology, and chemistry at Loreto Sixth Form College, earning A*AB in my A-levels. During my medical school application, I achieved a UCAT score of 2750 Band 1, securing four medical school interviews and ultimately firming Hull York Medical School—where I am currently studying medicine (MBBS). Alongside my academic journey, I’ve been a private tutor for the past two years, helping students build confidence and achieve top grades in science and math. I also completed a 3-week teaching internship at COOP Academy, delivering science lessons to Year 8 and 9 students. Additionally, I’ve gained valuable clinical experience working in GP practices and hospital settings, consulting with patients and developing strong communication and empathy skills. My educational background reflects a strong foundation in science and a passion for teaching. Having been tutoring online over three years now with experience of both groups and individual tutoring sessions, I have gained hundreds of lessons of experience helping me become a more effective tutor. I have tutored both A level and GCSE level maths and physics, as well as A level psychology, GCSE geography and some KS3 sciences and maths. In lessons I like to use active recall throughout to ensure that students are absorbing the material. A typical session will start with a few questions to assess a student's initial understanding of a topic. We then go through the content - focusing only on areas where they need support - before finishing with some exam-style questions to consolidate their learning My speciality is AQA for most subjects, the main exception to that is A level maths in which I did OCR. I have just finished a masters in mental health research, after my undergraduate in natural sciences (specialising in physics and psychology). This followed my A levels in which I achieved A*'s in maths, psychology, physics, and geography. What makes me a great tutor is that I am patient by nature and I understand the situation you are in, this means I will always make sure you understand what you are required to know, and ensure I find a way of tutoring that best suits you, whether that be by doing numerous exam questions to ensure knowledge or by gaining understanding through analogies to sports. At school I did A levels in Mathematics, Physics, Psychology and Geography. I then went on to study Natural Sciences at the University of Nottingham, specialising in Mathematics, Physics and Psychology. Following my undergraduate degree, I completed an MSc in Mental Health Research and Practice, also at the University of Nottingham. My main areas of specialisation are Physics, Mathematics, Psychology and STEM subjects, with a particular focus on Physics at A level and STEM across GCSE and Key Stage 3.

I am currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, specialising in artificial intelligence, at the esteemed King's College London. With a strong academic foundation, I have discovered a true passion for teaching and find immense fulfilment in helping fellow students excel, particularly in subjects like Maths and Physics, which I thoroughly enjoy. I also have over 1000 hours of online tutoring experience and very high success rate. Throughout my educational journey, I have successfully completed A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Economics. Hello, I am a final year student at the University of Southampton studying Mathematics with Computer Science. I achieved A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths and Physics repectively at A level. This summer I spent time working with experienced teachers, teaching mathematics in a secondary school, they gave me lots of advice and valuable insights that I will use to help you achieve your goals in your future. During GCSE's at Chesham grammar, I achieved a 9 in Maths while only missing out on a total of 7 marks across all 3 papers. I also achieved 9s in Biology and Chemistry with an 8 in Physics. At A level, studying at St Dominic's Sixth Form College, I achieved A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths and Physics respectively. At the University of Southampton, I am currently in my final year studying Mathematics with Computer Science, I have achieved an average grade of 80% in my first 2 years of study and am on track to graduate with a 1st.
