Hello! My name is Toby and I am a current student at the University of Reading, studying Pharmacology. I previously attained 3 A-Levels for Chemistry, Biology and Geography as well as tutoring my sisters/family friends during their GCSEs too. I have some great hands on experience at tutoring and I strive for success! My favourite hobbies outside of education is probably skateboarding and making music and I love dogs. :) Previously I attended Penistone Grammar School for secondary education, as I am originally from Sheffield. I took separate sciences for one of my GCSE choices as well as geography and business study’s and achieved 8s in all of these. After this I attended Penistone grammar school 6th form for my A-Levels. I enjoyed it here a lot where I then studied Chemistry, Biology and Geography. From here I achieved all my A-Levels and now go to the University of Reading and study Pharmacology.

Hi! I’m Ann — a second-year medical student who loves painting, reading, and (recently) horse riding. I’m someone who genuinely enjoys learning new things, but I also understand how tough studying can feel when you’re stuck, stressed, or unsure where to start. That’s a huge part of why I tutor — I want to make learning feel lighter, clearer, and way less overwhelming. I’m not the type of tutor who just reads off a screen or throws information at you. I like to explain things in a simple, friendly way, break topics down into small steps, and make sure you actually understand the idea, not just memorise it. Everyone learns differently, so I always adjust the pace and style to whatever works best for you. If you’re someone who loses motivation, gets anxious about exams, or feels like certain subjects just “don’t make sense,” don’t worry — I’ve been there too. We’ll work through it together until you feel confident. I’m patient, supportive, and I’ll never make you feel bad for not knowing something. That’s literally what I’m here for. I really want my students to feel comfortable, motivated, and proud of themselves. I love seeing someone go from “I don’t get this at all” to “wait… that actually makes sense now!” It’s the best part of tutoring. I achieved all A* in chemistry, biology and maths at GCSEs, and an A in biology for A-level through my time as a student I developed effective study techniques, which I use to support students in their learning. Hello, my name is Alex. I am a first year student studying Economics at the University of Leeds. In my spare time, I like to play football, as well as go to the gym and go out with my friends. I also enjoy watching football, and I support Manchester United. I have tutored 6 different students over the past 2 years for GCSE maths, with a variety of skill levels, but all of them achieving their target grades or higher. I went to Sir John Lawes School for both secondary school and sixth form. I achieved 5 8s and 5 9s in my GCSEs and A* A* A at A level. I’m now studying Economics BSC at the University of Leeds. I have always been passionate for maths and it has been both my strongest and favourite subject throughout my entire school life. I won the KS3 maths award.
