SEND experience - I have tutored students with SEND for three years which included students with Dyslexia, dyscalculia, AD I am a graduate of the University of Wolverhampton with a BSC Hons in Biomedical Science with Second class upper. I adapt lesson style and content to your needs. We can go through specific subject areas, study skills and exam skills as required. I can vary how the material is delivered according to the situation and what works for you. I will teach and do lecture notes where appropriate, or take a more "coaching" style if that suits you and the situation better. We can even do more seminar/discussion style lessons as you become more comfortable with the material. At the heart of all of the above is making sure that we are working together so that you can achieve your goals. I know that you are probably already having lessons in school or at home, and my goal will be to complement those existing lessons rather than replacing them so that you can get the best value out of our time together. Specialisms: I am able to cover all aspects of the curriculum but I am particularly focused on skills. Psychology is a little different to other subjects covered at A-Level - not only do students have to learn a lot of information and produce it under exam conditions, but there is also a need to analyze and evaluate what has been learned so that they can write clearly, concisely and insightfully about that information. As well as teaching the syllabus content, I can help improve a student's thinking and writing skills so that they can go into exams with more confidence. I have also developed my coaching skills so work with students to help them improve their own problem-solving capabilities so that they can identify how they can study more effectively. A bit about me: I'm a PhD-qualified tutor who, over the course of my career, spent time working as a researcher, consultant and analyst across different industries. In all of those other roles, the part I enjoyed most was training, teaching and coaching people, so I am working towards making that my full-time career. Working in industry has taught me the importance of always turning up prepared and ready to work, using clear, prompt and honest communication and making sure that whoever I am working with knows that I am working in their best interests. The same will apply when we work together. In my spare time I love to play football and follow a lot of sport. I am learning to play guitar (very slowly) and enjoy listening to music, going to gigs when the opportunity arises. I love learning and am always doing some course or another - I'm currently studying to teach English as a foreign language and working towards accredited coach status. Hi, I’m Laureen Caitlin, a passionate Math tutor who loves helping students aged 11 - 18 build confidence and enjoy problem-solving. I love tutoring because guiding learners to understand complex ideas excites me. Outside teaching, I enjoy singing and exploring new hobbies. I hold a Master of Arts in Education major in Mathematics at Far Eastern University and a PhD in Educational Leadership at Unibersidad de Dagupan. With years of teaching and tutoring experience, I specialize in guiding high school learners to master Math concepts with clarity, patience, and dedication.

I have been tutoring with GoStudent for six months now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Please note I do not take adult learners at this time. I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in History, also having taken papers in Classics and Theology. I won several prizes during my degree, including three prize scholarships and the Roy Porter Prize for History in my second year.
