Hello! My name is Anna Mai, and I am a passionate and dedicated tutor currently studying to become an Early Years Teacher. I have extensive experience working with children and young people in educational settings, and I am committed to helping every student build confidence, develop their skills, and achieve their full potential. Alongside my studies, I work in a Montessori setting and part-time in afterschool care, where I support children's learning, social development, and overall wellbeing. These roles have given me valuable experience in adapting lessons and activities to suit different learning styles and abilities. I am currently studying Early Years and Childhood Studies at University College Cork (UCC), where I am developing a strong understanding of child development, early childhood education, inclusive practice, and effective teaching methodologies. My studies have provided me with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills that enable me to support children's learning and development in a meaningful and engaging way. In addition to my current studies, I spent three years studying abroad in the ITEPS International Teacher Education for Primary Schools programme. This international teacher education programme gave me valuable experience in primary education, exposing me to a range of teaching approaches, educational systems, and multicultural learning environments. Studying and teaching alongside people from diverse backgrounds strengthened my communication, adaptability, and intercultural skills while deepening my passion for education. Alongside my academic background, I have gained extensive practical experience working with children. I currently work in a Montessori setting, where I support children's learning through child-centred, hands-on activities that encourage independence, creativity, and confidence. I also work part-time in afterschool care, assisting children with homework, organising educational and recreational activities, and supporting their social and emotional development. These experiences have allowed me to work with children of different ages, abilities, and learning styles, helping me develop strong skills in behaviour support, lesson planning, communication, and student engagement. I am passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and creating a positive, supportive learning environment where they feel confident to learn, grow, and succeed. I’m a medical student who really enjoys learning and exploring new ideas. I love reading books, especially anything about medicine or how people and society work. When I’m not studying, you’ll usually find me running, going to the gym, knitting, or cooking something new. I also enjoy teaching younger students because I like breaking things down in a simple, fun way. I’m always curious, always asking questions, and I love understanding how things fit together. I’m a medical student with a strong academic background, having earned 9 A grades at GCSE and studied biology, chemistry, physics, and maths at A‑level. Throughout my education, I’ve written articles, attended workshops, and built experience that supports my passion for learning and teaching.

Hi! I’m currently studying a maths engineering degree at university and I can’t wait to use the skills I’ve learned to help students with maths and science. I understand what it’s like to struggle with a STEM subject, so I approach my tutoring from a place of patience and sympathy. When a student doesn’t understand a concept, I focus on finding out exactly what piece of the puzzle they are missing, and will re-explain the idea in a way that works for them, as everyone learns differently! For secondary school I attended South Hampstead High School and took my GCSE’s and A Levels there. For my GCSEs I received a nine in maths, English literature , all three sciences, geography and computer science, and an eight in French, art and English Language. For my A levels I received an A star in maths, further maths and physics, and an A in computer science. Currently I’m loving studying an Engineering Mathematics degree at the University of Bristol and I just completed my first year. I’m set to do an integrated masters there as well.

Hi, I’m Maite! I’m a native German speaker and teach German at all levels — Primary, GCSE, and A-Level. Besides German and English, I also speak French and Spanish. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies with a minor in Educational Science, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural learning, communication, and how to make complex ideas accessible. During my time at university, I spent over three years tutoring children of different ages, working in a programme led by the German federal government to support children from migrant and refugee backgrounds in their school learning. I am now excited to work with adults as well. When I think back to my own school years, the teachers who inspired me most were those whose honest passion made even my least favourite subjects enjoyable. That’s the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons: engaging, light, and enjoyable. Outside tutoring, I teach meditation and mindfulness and support a charity creatively, which helps me bring patience, flexibility, and creativity into my teaching. I tailor lessons to each student — whether you need grammar support, speaking practice, exam preparation, or a personalised lesson to build confidence at your own pace, or simply want to learn German out of interest and enjoyment. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies and Educational Science, which I completed at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. I specialised in cultural theory and visual culture and spent an Erasmus semester at Université Bordeaux Montaigne in France. In addition, I hold a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate, complemented by an additional 50 hours of training in meditation.
