With over 60 students in 2024, I’ve developed a unique program that addresses both the theoretical and practical aspects of language and literature studies. Over the past 3 years, I’ve helped more than 130 students achieve at least a grade 7 in their GCSEs. About Me Language is not just a tool for communication, it's rather a reflection of how we see ourselves, our world and culture. I am a PhD candidate who recently published a paper on sexism and gender bias to help promote social justice by teaching politically correct language. In light of my educational research I learned that each student has a unique mind and uses different techniques to learn. Hence, my responsibility entails guiding each individual to unlock their complete potential. In my free time you'll always find me in the gym, or on a football pitch. Hi! My name is Oliver, but everyone calls me Ollie, and I have been studying Politics at the University of Warwick since September 2023. I did A-Levels in my home city of Liverpool. I love my subject and I love teaching children as I have done before working at Kumon. I play instruments with my favourite being the drum kit, and I love playing board games with people! I also sometimes go skiing with my family. I completed my A-levels in Mathematics, Psychology, and Politics at the Liverpool Blue Coat Grammar School in 2023 and am currently studying Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick. I am experienced in teaching both English and Mathematics from ages 4-16 at various levels, as I have done so for Kumon for a number of years before and during lockdown.
