Hello! My name is Zoha, and I'm currently navigating through my masters year in my Pharmaceutical Chemistry Degree. I have just finished a year in industry working as a formulations chemist at Domino Printing Sciences, Cambridge - from which I can offer real-world insights that enhance understanding and make lessons even more engaging. I now serve as a peer mentor - once again - on my course, where I support fellow students in navigating student life and academic studies. Beyond my professional and academic life, I have a love for learning that extends into everything I do, which is why tutoring has become such a rewarding experience for me. I teach a variety of subjects, with a focus on GCSE and A-Level Maths and Chemistry. With experience in teaching a range of exam boards including Edexcel, AQA Mathematics, AQA Sciences, and SQA National 5s, I bring a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum and exam expectations. My aim is not just to help students pass their exams, but to instil a deeper understanding of the material, which fosters both confidence and curiosity. My tutoring style is calm, clear and supportive. I understand that each student learns in their own way, so I tailor my sessions to suit individuals needs and learning styles. Whether it's building foundational knowledge, tackling tricky topics, or preparing for exams, my goal is to help students feel confident and capable. I aim to create an engaging, comfortable learning environment where questions are always welcome (there's no such thing as a stupid question!) and progress - big or small - is celebrated. Outside of teaching, I’m always exploring new hobbies - currently, I enjoy sketching, painting, crocheting, knitting and computer programming. I’m also a plant enthusiast, always discovering new ways to nurture and grow! I find that this curiosity and love for learning spills over into my teaching, where I encourage students to develop a similar mindset of exploration and growth. I am currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Surrey. I can teach up to A-Level Maths. I have exam board experience for Edexcel GCSE Maths and OCR B MEI A-Level Maths. I am fluent in both English and Tamil. I am looking to teach anyone of all ages! I am only familiar with the English Curriculum (OCR, Edexcel, and AQA). I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels at Langley Grammar School and achieved an 8 in Maths at GSCE and a C in Maths at A-Level (5 marks off from a B). Since then I joined the University of Surrey and I am currently a 2nd year undergraduate in Chemical Engineering.

I’m currently a medical student and I really like passing my knowledge to young people and helping them achieve the goals that they want. I aspire to create a safe, friendly environment for students, where they can ask me for help whenever. With a deep passion for education, I strive to instil not only knowledge but also critical thinking skills and confidence in my students. In my spare time, I enjoy singing (I'm currently taking a music theory class and hope to progress to one day play the cello) and dancing. These help me unwind and also have fun!
