Preferred student age group: All age groups. My name is Marian, I am a Doctor with a solid foundation in science. I am competent at tutoring pupils in the Irish educational system up to the Leaving Certificate. As a tutor, I've always felt driven to go above and beyond the curriculum's standards to make sure the student thoroughly understands the material. In order to assist the students, I want to first earn their trust by showing them that I have their best interests at heart. I then want to work really hard with them, urge them to give their all, and ensure that they remain motivated throughout. In my classes, I make sure that the lesson is first clearly explained to the students, beginning with the basics and making sure they understand it. From there, I build on that knowledge but most importantly, a foundation should be built. Finally, I give the student an opportunity to explain back to me and switch roles, pretending to be the teacher and teaching me what was learned. The pupils will be offered enjoyable quizzes or games related to the topics taught to help them relax and stop feeling like learning something new is a chore in order to better reinforce the knowledge they have already acquired. The subjects won't be covered only once. It will be explained in class and then summarized at the end. The first few minutes of the following lesson will be used to review what was previously taught. The third time will follow a few weeks later to help with memory recall. There will also be constant reference to earlier lessons if the topics are connected. I have a thorough understanding of the Irish leaving certificate curriculum, not just because I went through it myself, but also because of my experience tutoring students of all ages, particularly junior and leaving certificate students for the past four years. As a result, I have knowledge of the subjects and crucial exam tips, specifically by going over past exam papers with students. Any kid I have taught has experienced a significant increase in their grades from the beginning of the year to the end. I anticipate at least a two-grade improvement for every student who works with me. whenever I provide tests. To give students a realistic rating, I do my best to grade them in accordance with the standards of the junior/leaving certificate. Throughout the classes, these marking criteria will be applied to identify improvements that are also realistic. Because I am very organized in terms of what is required for the lesson and all the materials that will be utilized, delivering tutoring online has never been an issue for me or my pupils. I make an effort to keep the experience as similar as possible to in-person tuition. I will stay in touch with the parents on a regular basis to address any worries they might have, any observations I might have about the student, and to keep them informed about the classes.

My name is Mark Sean A. Manubag, and I hold a degree in Chemistry. For the past two years, I’ve been teaching and tutoring high school and college students, mainly in math, chemistry, and physics. I love making complex topics feel simple and approachable for learners at different levels. As a teacher, I am patient, supportive, and goal-oriented. I believe in guiding students step by step until they feel confident in themselves. One of my strengths is breaking down difficult concepts into clear, relatable ideas. Seeing students progress—from struggling on quizzes to celebrating their own achievements—is what inspires me to teach. My teaching style is interactive and student-centered. I enjoy connecting lessons to real-life examples, whether through cooking, music, or everyday situations, so that learning feels both meaningful and fun. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. During my studies, I gained extensive training in laboratory instrumentation, including GCMS, FTIR, AAS, and UV-Vis, and completed internships with the Food and Drug Administration of the Philippines, the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, and the Philippine–Japan Active Carbon Corporation. My undergraduate thesis focused on the spectrophotometric determination of phenolics from plant extracts, which strengthened my background in analytical chemistry. After graduation, I successfully passed the Philippine Licensure Examination for Chemists in September 2014. Alongside my academic journey, I began working as a freelance tutor between 2012 and 2014, supporting high school and college students in mathematics, chemistry, and other sciences. Many of the students I taught came from institutions with advanced science and math programs, while others needed help building foundational understanding. Through one-on-one lessons, I developed a teaching approach that emphasized patience, step-by-step guidance, and real-life applications, helping students not only grasp concepts but also build confidence in their own abilities. This tutoring experience deepened my passion for education and showed me the impact of making complex topics simple and engaging. I have completed my GCSEs, A - Levels and Bachelor's degree with top grades and have experience teaching mathematics from primary to GCSE level. My approach is all about building the confidence of my pupils. I focus on exam preparation in every lesson so the student understands what to expect in the real exams as well as dedicating sessions to tackle worded problems and showing the best techniques to solve them. My easy and friendly tutoring style allows me to adapt to the student's need on an individual basis from pupil to pupil. Lots of practice material and notes available to help build exam techniques. I graduated with a BSc (Hons) Economics from the University of Warwick, achieving a 2:1.
