Hi, I’m Jamie Evans—a passionate and dedicated math teacher who loves bringing numbers to life in fun and meaningful ways. I strive to create an engaging learning environment where students can explore mathematics through interactive activities, real-world connections, and challenging problem-solving experiences. My goal is to spark curiosity, build confidence, and help every student discover the joy of learning math. Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing volleyball, which keeps me energized, focused, and ready to bring creativity into each lesson. I hold a degree in Civil Engineering, majoring in Construction Engineering and Management, where I developed a strong foundation in mathematical principles along with effective teaching strategies and classroom management skills. My academic experience equipped me to design engaging lessons, adapt to diverse learning styles, and cultivate a supportive environment where every student is encouraged to succeed.

Hi, my name is Aoife, I am 18 years old and currently a first year law student at the University of Leeds (and an aspiring human rights lawyer!). My special subject is English, primarily English literature. My highest academic achievements are my 3 A levels (A* in politics, A in history, B in English literature). I am willing to tutor the English subject to year groups 9-11 in secondary as I believe this is when that extra boost in confidence is so important! My passion for English is reflected in my GCSE grades too - achieving a grade 9 in English language and grade 8 in English literature. I have previous experience with children with SEN needs such as autism and ADHD, shaping my teaching style as one of patience and prioritising clarity without exerting pressure on a student. I personally struggled with confidence in both primary and secondary school, and going through tutoring myself helped with this enormously. My personal hobbies include reading and creating artwork in my free time. I look forward to helping you/your child with English and literacy skills! For secondary school I attended Carr Manor Community school, achieving GSCEs all grade 7 and above. I excelled in humanities subjects, with a grade 9 in both history and English language and a grade 8 in English literature. My academic passion carried on into my A levels which I completed at Notre Dame Catholic VI Form College. I achieved an A* in A level politics, A in A level history and a B in English literature. I have gone on to be accepted to study law at the University of Leeds, a Russell group university. I remain open to constantly improving my skills and developing new ones and therefore significantly look forward to tutoring new students, sharing my knowledge and developing my own. I specialise in English and literacy, hoping to develop the skills of younger students to provide that extra boost in confidence.

I am currently studying for a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Financial Management and have previously studied towards a BCom in Accounting. Hello! I am currently studying Theoretical Physics at the University of Bath. My main pastimes include hiking/camping, going to the gym, and running, so I do hope that I can relate to many of you! For me, tutoring is developing a clear understanding of subject knowledge instead of regurgitation of facts; learning should be to question and to think critically rather than to memorise. With me as a tutor, you can expect to gain a deep insight into your subject and acquire the ability to excel in your exams. I attended Swanmore College Of Technology where I studied 10 GCSE's achieving 5 9's in (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Enterprise and marketing and English literature)- 4 8's ( Maths, Computer science, English language and History) 1 7 ( Further maths). In my A- levels I achieved an A* in Maths, an A in Further Maths, an A in Physics and an A* in an extended project qualification for which I did extensive research in quantum mechanics and furthered my understanding of the double slit experiment exponentially (in both the quantum and classical realm). Currently I am a first year undergraduate at the University Of Bath studying Theoretical Physics.
