I’ve lived in six different countries, worked in both education and the business world, and I bring that international energy straight into my classes. I’m a native French speaker with a big love for Spanish language and Hispanic culture, so you’ll learn real, useful language — the kind people actually speak — along with the cultural tips that make you sound natural. I’m known for being extremely patient, but don’t worry, I’ll also encourage you (nicely!) to step outside your comfort zone and grow fast. My undergraduate studies include a Bachelor’s degree in European Business Management in Reims, providing me with a multidisciplinary and multilingual foundation. Hi, I’m Teacher Camille, a passionate and committed Mathematics teacher! I enjoy guiding students to appreciate the wonders of maths through engaging and creative lessons. My aim is to make every class enjoyable with interactive tasks, practical examples, and thought-provoking problems that inspire curiosity and boost confidence. During my free time, I like playing Scrabble and chess to keep my mind active and imaginative. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education and have 7 years of experience teaching and tutoring students of different ages. I’ve taught high school Mathematics and also worked with primary learners, helping them build strong foundational skills and confidence in problem-solving. I enjoy designing lessons that connect maths to real-life situations, making each topic meaningful and engaging. My experience has also strengthened my communication and creative thinking skills, which I integrate into my teaching to make lessons both effective and enjoyable. Hi! I'm Owen and I'm a graduate of Girton College at the University of Cambridge, where I read MA Modern and Medieval Languages and MPhil Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic from 2018 to 2023. During my undergraduate I studied French and German, with a focus on historical and comparative linguistics and spent a year abroad at the University of Strasbourg, studying Russian, Dutch, and Swedish, alongside comparative linguistic research. Following my interests in Germanic philology, I stayed at Cambridge for my MPhil in Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic, continuing further study of Old Norse and Old English alongside a dissertation on Reflexives and Self in Old English, Old High German, and Old Saxon. Following graduation, I’ve taken up various professional, full-time roles in education consultancy, leading in-house support for personal statements, admissions tests, and interviews at hundreds of schools across the UK and around the world. I’ve delivered presentations on Oxbridge applications, preparation, and strategy to thousands of students and have designed and delivered training to help teachers at some of the UK’s top independent schools better support their own students with university applications. I’ve personally consulted with hundreds of students for (almost!) every subject at Oxbridge and have supported applicants across languages, linguistics, literature, ASNC, and history through the entire application process, from course, university, and college selection, to supercurricular engagement, admissions tests, personal statements, written work, and mock interviews. I’m also a British Council certified counsellor and have completed Russell Group certified training on supporting students to progress to competitive universities, as well as child protection training for tutors through the NSPCC. I particularly welcome interest from MML, Modern Languages, Linguistics, and ASNC applicants, although I tutor across the humanities. Outside of undergraduate preparation, I also work with postgraduate applicants to Russell Group universities, provide proofreading and editing for PhD theses and articles, and teach Old English and Old Norse to interested students.
