Hello! I am a dual Australian–British national and a recent graduate with Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws degrees. Having lived in four different countries, I understand first-hand the challenges and experiences of international students, and I bring this awareness into my tutoring through an empathetic and flexible approach. Last year, I had the opportunity to teach abroad in Switzerland, where I taught English to French, German, and Italian students learning it as a second language. This experience gave me valuable insight into the needs of ESL learners, allowing me to support students in building confidence and fluency in both written and spoken English. Education I recently completed a Master of Laws (LLM) degree, graduating with a Distinction and receiving the LLM Award for the highest overall grade in my cohort. Prior to this, I earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB). For my A-levels, I studied English, Religious Studies, Psychology, and completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) - achieving four A*s. At GCSE level, I completed eight subjects, including a Grade 9 in English Language and a Grade 8 in English Literature, reflecting my strong foundation in the subject I now teach.

I am an experienced maths tutor based in Glasgow. I received my maths degree from the University of Glasgow and have tutored and range of age groups from primary school age, through to high school and also undergraduate. I am passionate about learning and believe that learning is about enjoyment and practicality. I enjoy helping people succeed and ultimately seeing people become more confident within themselves. I have a honours degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Glasgow with a particular specialisation in applied mathematics and am currently working towards my second degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies from the University of Stirling.

During the sessions, I work with my students through the agreed upon topic paying close attention to the core concepts, we go through some exam-style questions, and also learn how to frame the answers in the way examiners expect. I also share effecting studying and memory techniques to enable them to better learn and master their content. In my spare time, I enjoy singing (I'm currently taking a music theory class and hope to progress to one day play the cello) and dancing. These help me unwind and also have fun! I look forward to extending this interesting mixture of fun and learning to my students and help the strike that oh-so-elusive balance between work and play so that they can become the best versions of themselves. I am Sarood, a friendly and dedicated maths tutor who supports her students in every shape and form while fostering a positive, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment where students feel motivated, confident, and excited to learn and grow. So I want to bring this change and shape every young individuals lives. I completed my GCSE's at Ormiston Forge Academy where I achieved grades 9-5 in 10 GCSE subjects, including Mathematics 6 and English 7. Additionally, I did my A Levels at Forge too, I got AAAB in Mathematics, Physics, Sociology and EPQ.
