Hi! I'm Favour, I have experience tutoring students who are studying English language and Literature for their GCSE's. As a tutor I aim to breakdown questions & lessons to go along with the students' pace. During lessons I use the students interest to channel their learning & I am patient to ensure they get the most of the time. For example I once used a students' sports interest to breakdown the structure question in the AQA language paper 1 question 3. What I love the most about tutoring (apart from spreading knowledge of course) is getting to know, learn and see students develop. I love seeing wonderful personalities and interests come through, so I look forward to meeting you soon! Outside of tutoring, I am involved in marketing communications. In my spare time I like to watch movies, videos on dog grooming, skincare & perfumes, spend time with friends and bake (when I can). BSc Biomedical Science graduate, currently in medical school. I teach: Junior Certificate science (all levels), Leaving Certificate Biology (all levels), GCSE Biology and AS/A-Level Biology. I am passionate about making science fun, practical and easy to understand. Throughout my career and studies, I've been immersed in the complexities of science, and I understand how daunting it can seem. But I believe that with the right guidance, anyone can grasp it. That's why I'm here - to break down complex topics into simple, understandable concepts, making it accessible and engaging for my students. My teaching strategy is focused on exam-based lessons, helping students practice with marking schemes and key terms to refine their answers and maximise their scores. By working through past paper questions and understanding what examiners look for, my students build confidence in applying their knowledge effectively under exam conditions. I am familiar with several exam boards including AQA, Edexcel, CIE, and many more, and I tailor my lessons to align with each board's specific requirements. A typical lesson with me involves reviewing key topics to ensure a solid understanding of the subject matter. We'll start by discussing the areas where the student feels least confident, addressing any questions or difficulties they have. I then guide them through relevant exam-style questions, focusing on how to structure their answers using marking schemes and key terms. Throughout the lesson, I offer feedback to help improve their exam technique, highlighting common mistakes and strategies for tackling tricky questions. My goal is to make sure students not only grasp the content but also feel more prepared for the types of questions they will face in their exams. In 2020, I graduated from the University of Essex (UK) with a degree in Biomedical Science (BSc), giving me a strong foundation in Life Sciences, including Biology. Prior to that, I took my Leaving Certificate in Biology, Chemistry and Physics (all higher level) in Franciscan College Gormanston, Ireland. For my Junior Certificate, I took science at higher level and achieved an A.

I'm Ben and have an MSci and BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, where I specialised in Chemistry. I have always loved learning about the sciences as they are so applicable to the world around us. I believe that every student should have positive learning experiences in the sciences. I have over two years' experience in tutoring A-Level/GCSE Maths and Science. Furthermore, I have achieved an A* grade in every A-Level subject and a grade 9 in every GCSE subject that I offer. I have invaluable knowledge of exam board specifications, how to best prepare for upcoming examinations, and how to secure those top grades. I am friendly and patient in my approach and want to help each student reach their full potential, regardless of their academic background or the level they are currently working at. I find it rewarding to help my students achieve their academic goals and see them progress to their next steps. I am very flexible in my tutoring style as I recognise every student takes a different approach to learning. I put an emphasis on working towards a goal for the student and adapt my teaching methods and resources to each individual. Hi! I'm Izy, and I recently completed my degree in Applied Linguistics at the University of Warwick - BA Language, Culture and Communication. I previously tutored younger children at my high school, and have since taught ESL in Peru, Ecuador and Mexico. I thoroughly enjoy both teaching English as a second language, and tutoring English subjects in the UK. I completed A-Levels in History, English Language and Maths (A*A*A), and am hoping to work as a paediatric Speech and Language therapist, after completing my Masters. I am competent in AQA Exam Boards. At University I competed at an international level for music, and really enjoy reading and learning new languages in my free time! I am currently obtaining my 120-hour TEFL certificate, as well as my Level 2 Understanding Autism qualification. I attended a state school, receiving eight grade 9s, and two grade 8s at GCSE, and A*A*A at A-Level (History, English Language, Maths). I recently graduated from the University of Warwick with a 1st Class BA Hons in Language, Culture and Communication (Applied Linguistics), completing a dissertation in phonetics & phonology.
