Hi, my name is Vrut and I am an aspiring astrophysicist with a great interest in chemistry. I love studying and researching various concepts in the field of physics. I look forward to helping students with improving their grades with tips and tricks which personally helped me. I am very passionate about helping students understand STEMM ideas with ease using various different and unique techniques. At GCSE, I did the core subjects English, Maths and Sciences. In addition to these I also did Computer Science, Music, Frech and Geography, in which I achieved mostly grades 8's and 9's. At A-level, I did A-level Physics, Chemistry and Maths in which I achieved 3 A's. I am currently a first-year student studying Astrophysics at university of Edinburgh. I have experience in assisting and leading lessons in various scientific topics. I also have quite a lot of experience with tutoring young students and helping them understand difficult concepts with ease by explaining difficult concepts in simple terms and using various diagrams and imagery.

I would describe myself as patient, approachable, and motivated and understand that every student faces challenges in their own way, so I always try to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and pushing themselves further. Tutoring has taught me not only how to guide others academically but also how to encourage resilience and independent thinking. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy cooking and sports, which often inspires the way I teach and connect with learners. I teach senior high school mathematics at all levels, from foundational to advanced. With years of experience as a government tax specialist and roles as a system analyst, programmer, and statistician in IT, I transitioned to teaching, which has always been my passion. I began tutoring in college to support my expenses and discovered the rewarding challenge of working with a student with dyscalculia. Through tailored strategies and building strong rapport, she succeeded. My diverse background has made me resourceful and innovative, enhancing my effectiveness in both teaching and problem-solving. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from St. Scholastica’s College, Manila, where I completed challenging courses such as Calculus, Statistical Analysis, Number Theory, and Linear Algebra. I also pursued post-graduate studies in Mathematics Education at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, focusing on educational strategies and child development, with research on learning disabilities. Although I couldn’t complete my thesis due to budget constraints, I am skilled in teaching all levels of mathematics, including Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Statistics, and Business Mathematics.
