Hi there! I'm an enthusiastic and dedicated tutor specialising in Mathematics and Physics across various educational levels including GCSE, A-Level, Nat5, and Higher. I also offer tutoring in maths and physics outside these specific curricula, tailored to individual learning needs and goals. My academic journey is fueled by a deep passion for both maths and physics, which drives me to continually expand my knowledge in these subjects. I spend a significant portion of my time studying and exploring new concepts and ideas, as well as engaging with programming languages such as Python, LaTeX, and Maxima, which complement and enhance my teaching capabilities. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am actively working towards achieving Grade 7 in Piano (ABRSM). I also attended the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, an experience that instilled in me a strong sense of leadership, resilience, and teamwork. I strive to bring clarity and enthusiasm to my tutoring sessions, aiming to inspire a love for learning and a deep understanding of the material. I attended secondary school in northern England and I studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics at A-Level. I then went to the University of Edinburgh to study a BSc in Mathematics. I now study an integrated masters in Physics with the aspiration to study a PhD in Mathematical Physics in a couple of years.

Hi! I have just finished my PhD at Bath, developing biosensors for cancer diagnostics. My expertise is in Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Physics (in that order!). My undergrad was in Chemical Engineering (via Natural Sciences) at the University of Cambridge. I have experience in teaching students at the University by helping them understand scientific concepts in experimental settings and showing students how these concepts relate to and exist in the real world- not just a textbook! I like to play music and do Scottish reeling in my free time. PhD at the University of Bath- currently finishing. Developing biosensors for cancer diagnostics. I’m a friendly and patient tutor who enjoys helping students build confidence in subjects that can sometimes feel overwhelming. I teach both Maths and Computer Science across a range of levels, from early primary all the way up to GCSE, I adapt each lesson to how the student learns best. My teaching style focuses on breaking concepts down into simple, clear steps. I like to make lessons interactive, encouraging students to ask questions and think through problems rather than just memorising answers. This helps them develop real understanding and the confidence to approach new topics independently. For younger students, I focus on making learning engaging and supportive so they feel comfortable participating. For older students, I emphasise exam technique, structured problem-solving, and strengthening any gaps in knowledge. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for exams, or simply gaining more confidence in Maths or Computer Science, my goal is always to create a calm and encouraging learning environment where progress feels achievable. I have a strong background in both Maths and Computer Science, and I have worked with students across a range of ages and learning styles. My experience includes tutoring primary, secondary, and adult learners, helping them improve their understanding of key concepts as well as their confidence in approaching challenging topics. I have supported students with curriculum learning, homework support, and exam preparation, particularly in Maths and Computer Science. Through tutoring, I’ve worked with learners who needed help strengthening foundations as well as students aiming to reach top grades. My experience across different age groups allows me to adjust my teaching approach depending on the student. For younger learners, I focus on building strong fundamentals and making lessons engaging. For secondary and adult learners, I focus more on deeper understanding, logical thinking, and structured problem-solving.

I'm someone who genuinely enjoys learning and sharing what I know with others. I like solving problems, breaking down challenging concepts into simple steps, and helping students build confidence as they learn. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy creative hobbies like knitting and crochet, which have taught me patience, attention to detail, and the value of practicing new skills. I believe learning works best when students feel supported, comfortable asking questions, and encouraged to learn at their own pace. I am currently completing a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of South Africa (UNISA), specialising in Mathematics and Computer Science. My studies have covered areas such as mathematical analysis, problem-solving, programming, and computational concepts. I have experience working with programming languages including Python, C++, and MATLAB, and have developed strong analytical and logical reasoning skills through my coursework.
