I'm a Maths grad, currently working in the tech industry, having studied Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A-Level. Outside of work I'm a keen runner and hiker, who loves spending time outdoors outdoors or exploring London, and enjoys getting lost reading a great book! I attended Peter Symonds college for A-levels, where I took Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. At Bath University I studied Mathematical Sciences, allowing me to dabble in physics while I focussed on Maths. Since university, I have studied again in Software Engineering and continue to learn constantly in my job.

I'm a dedicated and patient tutor with a strong passion for helping students build confidence and achieve academic success. I have achieved high grades in both GCSEs and A-levels, and have worked with a range of students. Whether a student needs help preparing for exams, catching up in class, or wants to get ahead, I focus on creating a positive and supportive learning environment. My goal is to help students improve their grades while also inspiring curiosity and helping them form strategies for success. 100% of my students so far have seen an improvement of at least one grade, with many moving up many grades. I have completed both my GCSEs and A-Levels in the UK, achieving strong results across a range of academic subjects. At GCSE level, I studied core subjects including English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, and the Sciences, along with Citizenship, Geography, French and RE, which gave me a well-rounded academic foundation. For A-Levels, I chose to pursue Biology, English Literature and Politics, which not only deepened my subject knowledge but also developed my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. I am studying law at university.

Hi! I’m Asmaa, I graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Biochemistry. I am passionate about all things science and motivated by the opportunity to help students understand and enjoy sciences and maths while gaining confidence in their abilities and achieving their academic goals. Both sciences and maths can sometimes feel overwhelming, full of complex processes and unfamiliar terminology, but I believe that these subjects become quite fascinating with the right support and guidance. My goal is to focus on breaking down challenging ideas into simple, manageable steps using visual tools, analogies, and real-life examples to bring the content to life. As a tutor, I take a student-centred approach, tailoring each lesson to your individual needs and learning styles. Whether you need help building strong foundations, mastering difficult topics, or improving exam technique, I adapt my teaching to support them effectively. I also place strong emphasis on exam-style questions and mark schemes, helping you gain confidence in applying your knowledge under timed conditions. I graduated in July with an MSci in Biochemistry, achieving a 2:1. Prior to that, I completed my A-Levels in Chemistry (A), Maths (B), and Biology (C). I have been tutoring with GoStudent for almost a year now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Please note I do not take adult learners at this time. I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in History, also having taken papers in Classics and Theology. I won several prizes during my degree, including three prize scholarships and the Roy Porter Prize for History in my second year. Prior to my degree, I took three A-Levels in History, Maths and English, receiving all A*s, and prior to that, ten GCSEs, receiving all 9s.
