Hello. I'm Debs, nice to meet you. I tutor a range of subjects, all based on experience of teaching within school, college and less tradiitional settings. I love tutoring one to one as that is the best way to give the student exactly what they need. I teach Sociology, Business and English at GCSE and A level and I have experience of AQA and Edexcel exam boards. I have also taught Btec Business level 1-3 In 2023 I completed a Master's degree in Philosophy as I love learning new things just as much as I love to teach. I make learning fun wherever possible and tailor every lesson to the student's needs. I use a variety of methods so you won't get bored and I am always happy to answer questions and re-explain things. There's no such thing as a silly question! I am Miriam Hajj, a 23-year-old dedicated medical student with a strong passion for education. I aspire to become an expert medical doctor and ultimately a university professor, where I can guide and inspire students to achieve their academic goals in the most effective and supportive manner. I firmly believe that education is not merely a requirement, but a pathway for personal and intellectual growth. I have been tutoring for approximately seven years, since I was in college, supporting students across various levels, including GCSE and A-Level. I have also worked in different educational centres, particularly with students who had failed their national exams. I organized intensive one-month courses focusing on biology, chemistry, math and physics, and I am proud to say that almost all of my students successfully passed their exams. I have also tutored students preparing for the DELF exam for those aspiring to study in France. During medical school, I further honed my tutoring skills by organizing intensive three-month sessions for students preparing for medical and engineering school entrance exams. I am currently in my fifth year of medical school, eagerly anticipating the commencement of my hospital internship in the coming months.

Above all, I believe progress starts with encouragement, and I aim to create lessons where students feel supported, proud of their effort, and inspired to keep improving. I studied Psychology at university, where I developed a strong understanding of how students learn and how confidence impacts performance. My studies helped me recognise that progress isn’t just about intelligence — it’s about mindset and approach. Before that, I achieved three A-Levels and gained hands-on experience working in schools as a learning support assistant, supporting students across maths, English, and general study skills. I’m now planning to continue my studies in Marketing and Business Management, combining my interest in psychology and communication with a passion for helping others grow and reach their potential.
