Hi, my Name is Chiara. I am a passionate qualified teacher. I have 10 years experience teaching in a classroom and 4 years experience in online teaching. I really love to teach students online. About Me: Reception and Primary: English, Primary Mathematics , Primary social sciences- Geography and History , life orientation/life skills , religious education and primary sciences. Exam Board Experience: SATs 11+ Experience with : KS1, KS2 and KS3 learners as well as learners with learning barriers. Languages: English Experience with disabilities / special needs: I have experience with learners that’s have barriers to learning for example : Dyslexia, ADHD, ADD, Autism and other barriers to learning. Preferred age group : 5-14 year olds About Me: I am a passionate and qualified primary school teacher. I am from South Africa. I have a Bachelor of Education degree intermediate and senior phase, I did my honours in Inclusive Education and I have 180hour TEFL certificate. I teach in English as this is my first and native language. I also speak Afrikaans and very basic Italian. I am a passionate and experienced teacher. Both in the classroom and online. I have taught children with barriers to learning. I have taught primary subjects such as Maths, English, Natural Sciences, Biology, History and Geography as well as life orientation/life skills. I am very flexible and can help out children from the ages 5-15. I have been an online tutor for almost 4 years. I am familiar with the UK curriculum as well as the preparation for SATs and 11+.

I am passionate about helping students reach their academic goals by making learning clear, structured, and enjoyable. I believe every student has the ability to excel when given the right guidance and support. With strong skills in organisation, communication, and critical analysis, I ensure that lessons are not only effective but also build lasting confidence. My approach combines professionalism with approachability, allowing students to feel comfortable while being challenged to achieve their best. I am currently a student at the university of Dundee. I have increased my knowledge through experiences with top law firms to supporting patients in healthcare areas which has allowed me to strengthen my communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain things clearly. I’ve also helped several students improve their understanding of subjects and grow in confidence with their learning. As a tutor, I take a supportive and adaptable approach as my degree encourages me to understand that every student learns differently so I tailor lessons to suit individual needs. My aim is to make learning both effective and enjoyable, helping students achieve results while building lasting skills they can carry forward.

I am a final-year student at the University of Liverpool studying International Relations. I went to school in Birmingham and studied History, English Literature and Economics A-level. I have a strong interest in the humanities, especially politics. I went to a Grammar school for my secondary and sixth form education so I have specific knowledge of the 11+ exam. I’m passionate about learning and helping others reach their potential. I have a keen interest in science and health, and enjoy baking, going to the gym, and spending time in nature. I value patience, organisation and curiosity in both life and learning. I achieved 7 9s and 2 8s in my GCSEs, with 9s in triple science and maths. I achieved A*A*A at A-level, with the two A* in Biology and Chemistry. I also achieved a First Class Honours in my BSc in Medical Pharmacology, and am currently studying MSc Toxicology at the University of Birmingham!
