Tutoring English Literature and Language for Junior Cycle, Leaving Certificate, GSCEs, and A-Levels. About me: Naturally, I have an endless passion for English, both teaching and studying. I have been tutoring for over three years and have completed over 800 tutoring lessons. I know the British and Irish courses inside out by now. My focus has always been on essay writing skills and academic writing, as I believe that improving your delivery is the quickest way to improve your English grades. Aside from teaching English, I have a huge passion for sailing, and I work as a magazine and story editor! I have a Bachelor's degree in English Language & Culture (with a minor in Film and Audiovisual Media) from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, and a Master's degree in Western Literature from KU Leuven, Belgium! I have a degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the TEFL Institute of Ireland. I am extremely passionate about Irish poetry and Shakespeare and truly find the secondary English courses incredibly interesting - both to teach and to study.

I am very enthusiastic about Maths and the Sciences. Having just finished my A Levels studying Biology, Physics, and Mathematics at A Level; I understand the challenges students face when learning these subjects and enjoy helping others build confidence and improve their understanding. I aim to make learning engaging and accessible for every student. I recently completed my A Levels at Queen Anne's School, Reading, where I studied Biology, Physics, and Mathematics. I've had a strong interest in science, sport and problem-solving since I started secondary school, which has inspired me to pursue a degree in Sports and Exercise Science at university. Prior to that, I completed my GCSEs at King's Academy Prospect, Reading, achieving good results across all subjects, including Maths and the Sciences. During school, I enjoyed helping classmates with revision, which sparked my interest in tutoring. My recent experience with the current curriculum gives me insight into how students can succeed both academically and confidently

My responsibility in my role, is to assist students when help is required. I have gained skills in time management and teamwork. Hello, I'm Sophie, a third year Undergraduate student studying Modern Languages at University. I have an enthusiasm for languages and genuinely enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. I can guarantee you’ll have productive and enjoyable sessions with me. In my free time I enjoy dancing Latin dances such as Bachata and Salsa, am a white belt in Jiu-jitsu and like socialising as well as practicing my language skills. I am fluent in Russian due to my heritage, and have visited Moscow annually during the summer holidays. I have previous experience with volunteering at the Instituto Cervantes in London for a year, as well as underwent an internship for Language Teaching at a secondary school academy in London. For my third year of University, I have studied for 6 months abroad in Spain at the Auntónoma University of Madrid, specialising in the Spanish language, culture and history. Currently, I am offering tutoring in Spanish from KS3, GCSE to A levels.
