Hi, I’m Maite! I’m a native German speaker and teach German at all levels — Primary, GCSE, and A-Level. Besides German and English, I also speak French and Spanish. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies with a minor in Educational Science, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural learning, communication, and how to make complex ideas accessible. During my time at university, I spent over three years tutoring children of different ages, working in a programme led by the German federal government to support children from migrant and refugee backgrounds in their school learning. I am now excited to work with adults as well. When I think back to my own school years, the teachers who inspired me most were those whose honest passion made even my least favourite subjects enjoyable. That’s the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons: engaging, light, and enjoyable. Outside tutoring, I teach meditation and mindfulness and support a charity creatively, which helps me bring patience, flexibility, and creativity into my teaching. I tailor lessons to each student — whether you need grammar support, speaking practice, exam preparation, or a personalised lesson to build confidence at your own pace, or simply want to learn German out of interest and enjoyment. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies and Educational Science, which I completed at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. I specialised in cultural theory and visual culture and spent an Erasmus semester at Université Bordeaux Montaigne in France. In addition, I hold a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate, complemented by an additional 50 hours of training in meditation.

I am passionate about teaching Maths because I enjoy helping students see that Maths is not something that is impossible but with help even the most complex topics can be broken down simply. It is especially nice when students come back to you with better results more confidence and a big smile. I can teach Mathematics for A-Levels and below. Big fan of football, cricket (which I play competitively for a club in the Surrey Leagues), video games and recently F1 I would like to preferably tutor students in secondary school, however I am open for Primary school students as well. Hi, I'm Sumaya and I'm currently studying Biomedical Engineering and have a strong passion for maths and the sciences. I’ve done some tutoring in the past and really enjoy helping others build confidence and clarity in subjects that can sometimes feel overwhelming. I’ve just completed my second year studying Biomedical Engineering at King’s College London. For my A-levels, I chose Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry. I’m passionate about science and enjoy helping others feel more confident and capable in these subjects.

Hi, My name is Ade. I enjoy seeing people thrive and develop in any way, shape or form. I enjoy making a difference. I’m someone who’s deeply passionate about personal growth and helping others reach their full potential. I have a solid educational background, which has provided me with valuable insights and knowledge. Alongside my academic achievements, I’m also dedicated to fitness and regularly attend the gym to maintain both my physical and mental well-being. I believe that self-improvement extends beyond the gym – it’s about empowering others to enhance their lives, whether through motivation, guidance, or simply offering a supportive hand when needed. I have a strong academic foundation, holding a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design and a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, this has not only provided me with in-depth knowledge of design, Mathematics, and creative problem-solving, but also a deep appreciation for the intersection of Art, English, Science, and functionality. Throughout my academic journey, I developed a passion for education and a love for helping others reach their potential. In addition to my degree, I have gained valuable experience working as a Teaching Assistant across a variety of subjects, such as English and Science including Mathematics. My role as a Maths TA allowed me to assist students with complex concepts, fostering an environment where they could confidently grasp challenging material. I have also worked as a TA for other subjects as mentioned, where I supported students with learning difficulties, provided additional help during lessons, and guided individuals in areas where they needed extra assistance. This experience has allowed me to cultivate patience, communication skills, and a genuine desire to help others improve academically. I find great satisfaction in seeing students progress and develop their skills, and I continue to be inspired by the positive impact education has on people's lives.
