**SSH** Hi, I'm Sophie (she/her) ! I just graduated from a degree in English Literature, French and Dutch at the University of Sheffield with First Class Honours, and am currently training to be a speech and language therapist. I can't wait to share my passion for books, languages and everything in between! I have been tutoring for 4 years and am offering tutoring in English, French and History to A level. I finished my A Levels in summer 2021 so I completely understand not only the current exam system and latest revision techniques, but also how stressful school life can be, both inside and out of the classroom. My goal in becoming a tutor is to do my best to help you achieve your personal goals, whether you're aiming to simply pass a class or achieve the highest grade possible. Our s...

Hi! I’m Joy, and my goal is simple: to help you feel calm, confident, and capable as you learn. I know many students come in feeling unsure, so I create a space where you can ask questions freely, try without fear, and learn at your own pace. My classes feel friendly, supportive, and clear. I explain ideas in a way that makes everything feel easier to follow, using visuals and real-life examples so learning feels more relaxed and less overwhelming. I pay attention to how you think, and I adjust my approach so learning feels natural—not stressful or confusing. Most of all, I focus on building confidence. Every small win matters, and you’ll always feel encouraged, guided, and supported. I’m here to help you enjoy Math more, trust yourself more, and see that you can absolutely do this. I’m excited to help you understand, enjoy, and succeed. — let’s make every lesson count! I hold a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with Education units, giving me a strong foundation in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication. This background allows me to integrate technology, structured reasoning, and efficient learning tools into my teaching. I’ve completed additional training and hands-on experience that strengthened my ability to simplify complex ideas and support students with diverse learning needs. Years of working with learners of different ages have made me highly adaptable, responsive, and confident in adjusting to each student’s pace. I continue to grow professionally by studying new teaching methods, digital tools, and modern strategies, ensuring every lesson benefits from current best practices. My focus is simple: to bring strong technical skills, educational training, and adaptability together so students feel supported, capable, and set up for success.
Sue-Joyce H.
Hi! I'm Sue, and I recently graduated from university with a 2:1 degree in English Language. I'm passionate about creative writing, reading, music and academic writing and am excited for the opportunity to share my passion with others. I love going to the gym, training in martial arts, reading fiction books and listening to music. I believe in letting students direct the learning and tailoring my teaching to their needs, skills and abilities. I am empathetic and understanding towards children and young people with SEND and believe that these should not be barrier to learning and that with the right tools and resources in place every child can thrive. I attended the University of Liverpool and graduated with a 2:1 in English Language in July 2025. I studied A Level English Language, Sociology and Philosophy at Carmel College in St Helens, where I achieved an A* in English Language and Bs in Sociology and Philosophy. I also passed my GCSEs, achieving a 4 in Maths, a 7 in English Literature and a 6 in English Language.
Ibukun A.
My name is Ibukun but you can call me Ibby. I am a second year pharmacy student and I enjoy all things chemistry and biology. For my A-levels, I studied biology, chemistry and psychology. In my spare time, I am a writer, and I love to read books and also play the piano. I see myself as a very enthusiastic person, and I enjoy helping other people with subjects that they may find difficult. I attended Queen Mary’s High School for GCSE’S, I achieved 7, 8, 9’s. In chemistry I achieved a grade 8 and in biology I achieved a grade 9. I then attended Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School for A-levels and I did Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. At my time there, I also did an EPQ based on social constructs. I am now completing my MPharm degree, and I am currently in 2nd year.
Ann A.
Hi! I’m Ann — a second-year medical student who loves painting, reading, and (recently) horse riding. I’m someone who genuinely enjoys learning new things, but I also understand how tough studying can feel when you’re stuck, stressed, or unsure where to start. That’s a huge part of why I tutor — I want to make learning feel lighter, clearer, and way less overwhelming. I’m not the type of tutor who just reads off a screen or throws information at you. I like to explain things in a simple, friendly way, break topics down into small steps, and make sure you actually understand the idea, not just memorise it. Everyone learns differently, so I always adjust the pace and style to whatever works best for you. If you’re someone who loses motivation, gets anxious about exams, or feels like certain subjects just “don’t make sense,” don’t worry — I’ve been there too. We’ll work through it together until you feel confident. I’m patient, supportive, and I’ll never make you feel bad for not knowing something. That’s literally what I’m here for. I really want my students to feel comfortable, motivated, and proud of themselves. I love seeing someone go from “I don’t get this at all” to “wait… that actually makes sense now!” It’s the best part of tutoring. If you’re looking for someone who will help you learn in a relaxed, encouraging way, I’d love to work with you. Let’s make studying feel manageable — and maybe even enjoyable. I attended Elthorne Park High School, and then Twyford CofE High School, where I completed my GCSEs and A Levels. I’m now a second-year medical student at the University of Dundee. Through my studies, I’ve developed strong skills in biology, Maths, and effective study techniques, which I use to support students in their learning.
