I was born in London but raised in Barcelona, so I am fluent in English, Spanish and Catalan. I am currently studying Biomedical Sciences at the University of Warwick. I enjoy going on walks, visiting historical sites, meeting friends, swimming, reading, and writing. I did a Spanish Baccalaureate in Barcelone, at Colegi Montserrat de Vallvidrera. I chose the Science baccalaureate, which included Maths, Biology and Chemistry, as well as History, English, Spanish, Catalan and Philosophy. Currently I am obtaining by BCs in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Warwick.

Hello! I'm Ali. I'm in my third year at the University of Edinburgh, studying English Literature. Having achieved almost 100% in my A level and GCSE English Lit/Lang courses, my goal as a tutor is not only to improve your grades, but provide you with the techniques that beat the system. English is more formulaic than you think, and I can't wait to show you how to ace it all. I'm passionate about drama, cooking and poetry and my favourite book is the Great Gatsby! I love to teach and share my passion for English and I'm looking forward to learning more about you! Grade: A*A*A*A at GCE A level, 10 GCSEs, 9 ‘9’s, 1 ‘8’Grade: A*A*A*A at GCE A level, 10 GCSEs, 9 ‘9’s, 1 ‘8’ Activities and societies: Participated in several societies such as Classics, Literature, Russian, and Biology. 1st team for Dulwich College Boat Club as well as received Full School Colours, House Colours and Boathouse Colours

Hi! I'm Simon, a Chemical Engineering Graduate from the University of Manchester, with over three years of teaching and tutoring experience. For the past 3 years I have been running a tutoring business teaching mostly Maths and Science subjects from Year 7 to A-Level. I have also taught Maths and Languages at an international high school in Singapore, and a primary school in the UK. (+DBS) Available weekday evenings, from 5-8pm. Message me and I will be happy to juggle other commitments. I completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Chemical Engineering with Industrial Experience at the University of Manchester, an accredited pre-chartership qualification within the field. This rigorous program combined in-depth academic study with practical industry exposure, preparing me for a professional career in chemical engineering. The course covered a wide range of core modules, including Thermodynamics, Process Optimisation, and Fluid Mechanics, in which I achieved consistently high marks, graduating with a First-Class classification at the bachelor's level. Throughout the degree, I developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly through group-based design projects and hands-on laboratory work. These projects provided opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world, commercially relevant scenarios, fostering my ability to work effectively in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams. A key component of the program was a year-long industrial placement, during which I worked for a chemical distribution company. This experience allowed me to gain valuable insight into the commercial side of chemical engineering and build a practical understanding of supply chains, technical sales, and operations. It also enabled me to contribute meaningfully to the company’s work while developing essential workplace skills such as communication, project management, and adaptability. Since completing my degree, I’ve continued working with the same company, now in a professional capacity with a focus on sustainability. My final-year dissertation centred on sustainable surfactant research, which sparked a deeper interest in the environmental impact of chemical processes. This has led me to transition into a more corporate sustainability role, where I support the integration of sustainable practices across the business.
