The reason I chose to study this because it included using a lot of technical and problem-solving methods, it also included a lot of Mathematics which was one of my favourite subjects at school. I would say Algebra is one of my strong areas and I completed the Level 3 Edexcel Algebra award in secondary school. When I teach I primarily use a lot of worksheets and exam-style questions which will help the student improve on the subject and feel better prepared for any upcoming exams. If a student is struggling to understand a concept , I use diagrams, videos and allow them to have more practise until they are comfortable with the topics. Hi, I’m Tara Patel, a dedicated and passionate Math teacher! I enjoy making mathematics engaging and meaningful by connecting lessons to real-life situations and using interactive activities that spark curiosity. My goal is to help students build confidence in problem-solving and develop a genuine appreciation for numbers. I love creating a fun and supportive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to explore and succeed. In my free time, I enjoy solving puzzles, watching educational videos, and taking peaceful morning walks to start the day with a clear mind. I graduated with a Bachelor in Secondary Education, Major in Mathematics, and I also hold a Juris Doctor degree. My academic journey equipped me with strong skills in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication. Through my education, I developed expertise in creating engaging math lessons, applying various teaching strategies, and supporting students with different learning styles. I'm a fun and active individual that likes sports and other physical activities. Just started my second year in my degree apprenticeship in data science with Airbus UK and some of my favourite hobbies include: Basketball, Cricket, movies, travelling and gaming. Attended Broughton Fields primary school when I first moved to the UK in 2011, and then went on to complete my GCSEs and A levels at Oakgrove Secondary School in Milton Keynes. Achieving high grades in both GCSEs and A levels, having done IT, Business and Mathematics in A levels.
