My name is Teo and I am currently undertaking my Professional Diploma in Secondary Teaching of English at the University of Edinburgh. I have been a tutor with GoStudent for over a year now, helping students from a range of age groups and ability levels achieve their potential and acquire the results they desire. My experience stretches from S1 to S6 students, with lessons carefully tailored to each and every one of them. In addition to my experience of teaching English to students from the Scottish Exam Board, I have also gained experience with England's AQA exam board, supporting several students in GCSE and A-Level English. Furthermore, my education in Film Studies from the University of St Andrews has allowed me to support students in the subject of Media as well. I strive to keep each lesson focused on the student's ability while introducing relatable and up-to-date topics to retain the student's interest as they stay engaged for the whole lesson. Day to day, I'm a freelance writer, video editor and nerd who occasionally works in a shop. I have a BA Hons degree in Creative Writing, an MA in Screenwriting and my debut novel, The Last Royalist, is due to be released 31st March 2021.

Languages: English and Spanish. I am a native Spanish and Dr in social anthropologist at the the University of Manchester. I teach Sociology and Media Studies at all Levels including GCSE, A-Level including IB curriculum and exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, 11+ and Cambridge International. I also teach Spanish to adult students at different levels. My teaching philosophy is shaped by my academic background in anthropology and interest in how cultures influence the production of knowledge.
