Hello! My name is Erin, I am currently a first year medical student at the University of Birmingham. As a tutor, my main aim is to quickly determine a students weaknesses, then create a dedicated study plan to help them improve in those areas. I believe that active recall, spaced repetition, and lots and lots of past paper questions - are the key to success! I am well versed in tutoring students of all ages; I have tutored various students ranging from ages 6 to 16 in a variety of different settings. I am also experienced in entrance exam tutoring. Having sat several entrance exams over my lifetime, I understand how to make a study plan that is both time efficient and effective, and how to utilise this study plan effectively. I have previously mentored students who wish to study medicine through UCAS, entrance exam and interview preparation; several of them currently study at top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge! In my spare time, I am a highly creative person - I frequently attend dance classes, I music direct/conduct my university choir, and I scrapbook! I also love to read :) Currently attending the University of Birmingham Medical School - 1st year, Medicine. Attended a top London Grammar school; where I achieved 10 A*s (Grades 8-9) at GCSE level, and 3 As at A level in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. In addition to educational qualifications, I also study the piano; I have completed my Grade 8 and am currently working towards my diploma in Music Performance!

I have achieved a First Class (85%) in my Master's Degree in Mathematics at the University of Bath. I would love to tutor younger students and also adult learners and help them improve their mathematical skills. I am a keen problem solver, having taken part in the UKMT maths challenges when I was at school and achieving a Gold Award in Year 13 before doing the British Maths Olympiad. At university, I took part in the Integration Bee challenges and tutored first year students at the Maths and Stats Help club. I achieved a First Class in my master's degree in mathematics from the University of Bath, and when I graduated I received an award which recognised me as one of the two top performing students in my cohort. My strengths lie in pure mathematics, particularly algebra, analysis, number theory and probability.

I teach GCSE Mathematics and Sciences, as well as Year 12 A-level Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. My approach prioritizes clarity and engagement, aiming to make complex concepts accessible and inspiring for students. I strive to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence, helping each student reach their full potential and excel in their studies. In College, I studied Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A-level, which are some of the subjects I specialise in, but also enjoy heavily. I've had experience in teaching, where I taught a range of year groups at my local community trust, including languages, academic subjects, and religion.

Hello! My name is Ollie and I tutor psychology. I’m a recent university graduate who is looking to help others through their studies. I have a broad experience tutoring and mentoring, working with people to reach their aims and goals. I aim to keep my sessions as clear and focussed as possible, working with you during an initial meeting to set aims and priorities. This will inform the session structure going forward. I first started studying psychology during secondary school - I found it really interesting and enjoyed it, so I continued my studies at university, where I achieved a BSc Psychology degree. Whilst studying for my degree, I began tutoring the subject to peers who were looking for support. This experience of helping others develop the skills and confidence they needed was very rewarding, and something I enjoy to this day.
