Hello! My name is Emma, and I am a final year Accounting and Finance student at Lancaster University. Currently on track for a 1st class degree. I also achieved 9 GCSEs, ranging from 7-9, which allowed me to study Chemistry, Economics and Maths. Along with gaining an A* in my EPQ, which I completed in year 12, giving me crucial skills that I have carried forward to my degree. I have been tutoring for over 2 years. During this time, I have helped prepare primary school students for their SATS and gained more confidence with maths in the classroom. I also prepared year 11 and 13 students for their GCSE and A levels by covering content they were unsure of and practising exam techniques. I previously gained experience mentoring GCSE students at my school. I am a student with dyslexia, so I understand the challenges students face in classroom settings. Anyone can be successful, which is why my sessions are student-led, so that they are catered towards each individual's learning style. If you are unsure of this throughout my school career, I have learnt different methods that work for me and would love to pass them on to others so that we can find a technique that works for you. I attended Rugby School, where I completed my GCSEs and A levels, and now I have gone on to study for a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University, where I have just completed a summer internship at PwC, which has lead to a full time graduate offer for September 2027. Having studied Chemistry, Economics and Maths at A level, I offer tutoring for students up to and including year 11 in Maths, Science and Chemistry.

I’m a chemistry student who loves literature, music and all things mathematical (especially when combined with physics!) I started tutoring 2 years ago part time while studying at college. My favourite things to do include travelling and playing with my dogs. I’m currently an offer holder at the University of Edinburgh for an integrated masters in Chemistry. I have been tutoring online since April 2018, helping students with KS3 and GCSE English Language & Literature. I have experience with AQA, Eduqas and Pearson Edexcel (including IGCSE) exam boards. I also help overseas students learn English as a foreign language. Curriculum has ranged from Oxford Reading Tree to Reach to IELTS, TESOL and ESOL. Having been diagnosed with severe dyslexia when I was young, I have always had an affinity with those who struggle with education, and have had to develop my own way to learn efficiently, and use this experience to help others. TEFL 120 Hours Certificate Bachelors Degree for the Arts I hold a bachelors degree in film, and have been a prolific writer since my childhood years. I also hold an HND in music production, and have previously tutored 9 to 15 year olds Djing and music production.

I hold a strong academic and professional background in Spanish language, culture, and education. I graduated in Hispanic Studies and later completed an MA at the University of Glasgow, where I developed advanced knowledge of Spanish and Latin American literature, history, politics, and cultural studies. My academic training gave me a deep appreciation of the richness and diversity of the Spanish-speaking world, from Golden Age literature to contemporary Latin American society. I am also a published poet. I have experience of teaching English Language and Literature. Alongside my academic qualifications, I also completed a PGCE and obtained Qualified Teacher Status through the St Mary's University. This provided me with strong pedagogical foundations in lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and differentiated learning. I have experience teaching students of different ages and abilities and aim to create engaging lessons that build both confidence and linguistic competence. I have lived and travelled extensively in Spain and Latin America, experiences that significantly enriched my understanding of regional accents, idiomatic language, social customs, and cultural traditions. These experiences allow me to bring authenticity and real-world context into the classroom. My particular interests include Hispanic literature, contemporary Spanish and Latin American politics, cultural identity, film, and music. I am especially interested in helping students understand not only the mechanics of the language but also the cultural perspectives that shape communication across the Spanish-speaking world. I believe language learning should be intellectually stimulating, culturally immersive, and accessible to all learners. I attended Westminster School (10 O levels, 3 A levels), attained a 2:1 MA in Hispanic Studies at the university of Glasgow, completed my phd finance modules at university of Essex in 0212, received my QTS and PGCE from St Mary's university in 2024. I taught Spanish at Three Rivers Academy and GNSA in Hayes. My specialisations are Hispanic Culture, Literature and Art. I am an expert on world poetry and drama.
