Hello! I’m Jezer Cornejo, a TEFL-certified teacher with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education. I have two years of experience teaching Mathematics to elementary and high school students. My teaching style is patient, engaging, and goal-oriented. I enjoy using interactive activities and real-world examples to make learning fun and practical. Outside of teaching, I love watching sports and once worked as a sports writer in my university’s student publication. This passion for communication and storytelling inspires me to bring energy and creativity into every lesson. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education from Philippine Normal University - North Luzon, where I developed strong foundations in teaching and communication. Hello! I am originally from Italy and have lived in London for the past 7 years. I have a passion for both languages and Maths and I’ve been teaching Maths for 3 years. My students describe me as a really patient person who explains things very clearly in a way that makes sense. I focus on building confidence and nailing exam technique. I attended a language secondary school in Italy, where I studied English, German and French as foreign languages. I then got my BA in Sociology and Politics at Goldsmiths University of London. After that, I trained to be a teacher through Teach First, achieved my QTS and went on to get my PGDE. I have been teaching at a school in Bromley for the past 3 years, and since last year I also took on the role of KS3 Lead within the Maths department, which has allowed me to develop my leadership skills.

I’m passionate about learning and helping others reach their potential. I have a keen interest in science and health, and enjoy baking, going to the gym, and spending time in nature. I value patience, organisation and curiosity in both life and learning. I achieved 7 9s and 2 8s in my GCSEs, with 9s in triple science and maths. I achieved A*A*A at A-level, with the two A* in Biology and Chemistry. I also achieved a First Class Honours in my BSc in Medical Pharmacology, and am currently studying MSc Toxicology at the University of Birmingham!
