I am a First-Class Computer Systems Engineering graduate. Mathematics and Computing have been central to both my academic journey and professional experience. With 11 years of teaching and tutoring experience across GCSE and A-Level, I have developed a strong understanding of the UK curriculum and the common challenges students face. I enjoy helping students move from confusion to clarity by breaking complex topics into structured, logical steps. Beyond improving grades, my goal is to help students build confidence and develop deep, sustained understanding. I completed my BSc in Computer Systems Engineering at the University of Westminster, graduating with First-Class Honours. My degree gave me a strong foundation in programming (Python, C++, C, VHDL and Assembly), embedded systems, microcontrollers, hardware design and robotics. During my studies, I led and contributed to several technical projects, including designing FIR filters using VHDL, programming PIC and MBED microcontrollers, and developing software systems in C++ and Python. I was also recognised with academic excellence awards for my performance. Prior to university, I completed my A-Level certification at Ahmadu Bello University, studying Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics, and earlier obtained my secondary school leaving certificate at Livingstone College . Alongside my academic background, I have over 11 years of experience teaching and tutoring GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, as well as several years teaching Computing. I have worked in UK secondary schools as a Teaching Assistant supporting STEM subjects and SEN students, and as an online tutor delivering structured, results-driven lessons. My specialisation lies in Mathematics and Computer Science, particularly breaking complex, abstract ideas into logical, manageable steps that build deep and lasting understanding.

I have a solid educational background, which has provided me with valuable insights and knowledge. Alongside my academic achievements, I’m also dedicated to fitness and regularly attend the gym to maintain both my physical and mental well-being. Hello! My name is Abz, and I provide 1:1 GCSE and KS3 Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics tuition across all major exam boards (AQA, OCR and Edexcel to name a few). With over four years of tutoring experience and having achieved A* in A level Biology, Maths and Chemistry, I help students build confidence with a calm and patient approach, close knowledge gaps and improve exam performance with regular exam questions in our lessons.
