--- About Me! --- I'm Danny, a 4th year physicist at the University of Edinburgh, currently undergoing a research year abroad working on a thesis at GSI/FAIR, a facility for high energy physics. My work involves a lot of programming, knowledge of physics, and application of engineering and design principles. I love inspiring others and talking about my subject, so any student who comes my way will hopefully leave feeling confident, ready for common exam questions, and most importantly, wanting to learn more beyond their curriculum. I play the violin to a diploma standard, love trying out new cooking recipes (sometimes with disastrous consequences), and really enjoy mountain sports, like climbing and hiking. --- My Education --- As mentioned above, I am a physicist at the University of Edinburgh on a year in industry at GSI. I am working on the upcoming DIRC particle detectors for the PANDA project and the EIC at Brookhaven (google these things, in my opinion they are very cool). This research of course involves knowing a bunch about programming, mathematics and physics! I achieved 4 A* grades at A-Level, in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Music, with the WJEC exam board. For these grades, I abused my poor printer, drilling past paper questions endlessly, so I am very familiar with this specific curriculum. However, mathematics and physics are very similar across all exam boards. There are common questions in every exam, and your child will become familiar and confident with these questions with me, ideally able to reproduce 'stock answers' with a high level of understanding and speed. This saves time in exams and guarantees easy marks; this is a major step in reducing exam anxiety, and one of the main strategies I used to achieve my marks. I taught a STEM program at a US summer camp. It was much more of a 'for fun' thing, so we focused on making classes lightweight and enjoyable, rather than drilling worksheets and past paper questions. As such, I won't exclusively bore tutees to death with math problems! I pride myself on being able to break down concepts into simple to understand analogies. I am also a huge advocate for using past questions as revision material. However, I recognise the importance for students to balance time spent on questions with going over textbook concepts.

I am a 5th Year Medical Student and have been teaching for many years, I got accepted into grammar and have dedicated many hours to learning and passing on my knowledge. I teach 11+ and have proven methods on understanding the logic and ways to solve the questions. In addition I tutor Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Science, Geography and Maths. I have a keen interest in playing instrumets, learning a new language, keeping active and am currently a co-author on a pending paper to be published in the medical/surgical field. Hi I'm Samarth, I'm an international Master student at LMU, Munich studying Molecular and Cellular Biology. I've always been told by my peers how I have a flair for explaining things in a crisp and clear manner and hence I thought of joining GoStudent as a Tutor. I have loved biology right for as long as I remember and it was a lecture in high school about Mendelian genetics is what made me pursue a career in academics. I believe biology is best understood when one can visualize the concepts well and when each of the processes are broken down to the steps that they are composed of. It's when difficult concepts are broken down into easier digestible concepts is when studying really becomes fun. Biology and Chemistry go hand in hand, a good grasp of concepts in chemistry is extremely important to pursue biology at higher levels. This therefore also makes me pretty well versed with Chemistry upto A levels. Hobbies: Apart from academics, I've been an avid reader and have had an equally intense love for the arts particularly singing and painting. I have been classically trained in both music and art, and I believe having a co-curricular activity one enjoys and has talent for should be pursued by everyone. I also am an avid reader and absolutely love a nice slice of life or academic research paper to keep both my creative outlet and knowledge base updated. I completed my schooling and Bachelors in Biomedical Science at the University of Delhi, India and am then went on to pursue my masters in Molecular and Cellular Biology in Germany at LMU, Munich. I've had a penchant for the sciences particularly biology and chemistry since middle school which led me to pursue my bachelors in Biomedical Science from the University of Delhi. Since I want to further my career into research I'm now working as a Research Assistant in Munich and plan to pursue my PhD in Epigenetics as well as actively communicate my research through scientific illustrations in the coming years.
