My name is Zareen Umair. I have a passion for learning new skills and teaching them aswell. I am humbled to have good communication, listening and collaboration skills. While saying this i would like to emphasise that i am always working to improve my own teaching skills aswell. Hi, i have completed 17 years of education. I did my bachelors in science subjects and then acquired a Mphil degree in English Language Teaching from Kinnaird University Lahore Pakistan. Currently i am going to apply for double bachelors in an art degree from National College of Arts Lahore Pakistan due to my immense interest in arts.

With over two decades of professional experience, I, Edwin S. Cordenete, have successfully led and contributed to a wide spectrum of IT initiatives, both locally and internationally. My career spans roles as a Software Engineer, IT Project Manager, and Consultant, during which I have delivered exceptional results in system design, project leadership, and implementing cutting-edge technologies that drive business-critical solutions. My expertise extends to software development, network and server administration, technical documentation, and ensuring quality assurance for complex IT systems. Beyond my industry achievements, I am a dedicated educator, having taught IT courses at renowned institutions including Lyceum of the Philippines University, Mapua University, and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. I’ve also mentored students in mathematics across academic levels, fostering the next generation of problem-solvers and innovators. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and a Master in Engineering Management with a specialization in Systems Management, I continuously refine my expertise. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Technology Management, I remain committed to staying at the forefront of technological advancements. Welcome to my profile. I teach 11+, GCSE Science (physics, chemistry, and biology), and Mathematics. I use notes and revision resources that have been carefully tailored to each student's specific needs. With their exam board content, revision/practice questions, and particularly repeated past papers, I have been able to instill confidence, critical thinking, and a genuine understanding of the subject in all of my students while ensuring they enjoy the process. I look forward to beginning this journey with you. I have over 4 years (1000+ hours) of experience teaching these subjects: GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Mathematics, and 11+. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering and an international teaching certificate (TESOL). I bring both academic expertise and practical teaching experience to my lessons. Having achieved top grades (A**) in GCSE Mathematics, Physics, and Biology, I understand the challenges students face and tailor my teaching to help them succeed. I create a friendly and interactive learning space where everyone feels comfortable. This helps build confidence and ensures that students really understand the important concepts they need to reach their academic goals.

ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. I'm into all sorts of things if I'm honest. I am a keen traveller (but who isn't nowadays), audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills through necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. TEACHING EXPERIENCE/PREFERENCES The subjects I teach are History, English Literature and Language for GCSE and A-level, as well as ESL English. I tend to teach students aged 14+, so from Year 9 to Year 13 or more mature students for ESL, but I do have a few students younger than this. I use a variety of teaching approaches, ranging from traditional methods of text analysis to modern forms of teaching, such as interactive quizzes, questionnaires and even YouTube videos if they benefit the students learning style. Exam Board Experience: Experience of all English assessment boards, but especially AQA and Edexcel in the, and WJEC/Eduqas and OCR to a lesser extent. Languages: English: as a first language to advanced/professional level. Turkish: fluent to college level, but nor advanced enough for teaching purposes.
