Hi there. James here, from South Africa. I taught in London in Walthamstow for my probationary year in 1991, and then in Johannesburg and Kwazulu-Natal in South Africa for a total of 21 years. I have taught Cambridge A Level History and England and South Africa's English and History curricula. I am also a published researcher, poet, and author. I enjoy cross-country running. I like NETFLIX mystery series. I regularly get out wilderness walking and cross country swimming. Since February 2025, I tutor English and Religious Studies for GoStudent. I battled with learning difficulties at school. However, I did very well after school, because I knew that English opens doors. So, I set goals. Then I achieved a B.A (1985) and a B. Ed (1996) degree, at Wits University in Johannesburg. I did a Masters Degree in Theology (Regent College, Vancouver, B.C., 2001) and a PhD in Church History (University of KwaZulu-Natal, 2016). I believe education is a lifelong journey. We master English every day for the rest of our lives. So I'm still learning as I tutor GCSE students, A Level students, and juniors, to reach their highest goals.

I am a first year biomedical science student at Queen Mary University of London. I have a passion for science and mathematics and enjoy being able to help others achieve their unique goals. I have had a years worth of experiencing in tutoring people between the ages of 5 and 16 years old and I am looking forward to being able to work with a wider range of students. Hi! I am Hannah, a friendly, approachable English tutor with a Masters in English Literature from Queen Mary University, London. I take a positive, non-judgemental, uplifting approach to teaching - no questions are silly questions and I am passionate about helping my students gain confidence within themselves. Hey I am Si Yeun! I'm a PhD student researching heterogeneous catalysts, and I have 1 year of experience tutoring Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics for GCSE and below students. Having had some tutoring myself during my GCSE period, I know how much of a nerve-wracking experience it is for both students and parents. With my lessons focusing on teaching based on the students' learning style, I hope to put those nerves at ease. Below is the list of subjects I teach and at which level. While my speciality is Chemistry on paper, maths and physics are integral to what I do in my current and previous research.
