Hi, I’m Udit! I’m currently working as a Lecturer in Medical Sciences at the University of Lancashire. I hold a PhD in Chemistry and was awarded the prestigious Marie Curie PhD Fellowship — a highly competitive international research scholarship. I also have a Master’s degree in Chemistry (with Distinction) and a First Division Bachelor’s in Chemistry. Over the past ten years, I’ve taught Science at GCSE, A Level, and undergraduate levels. I previously taught at Bedford College, where I worked closely with students studying for AQA and OCR exams. I now teach undergraduate Chemistry at university level, and I’m passionate about helping students build a deep and lasting understanding of the subject. In my lessons, I focus on strengthening core concepts so students can approach more complex ideas with confidence. I like to begin by working through a few basic questions to identify areas of focus, and then tailor the lesson accordingly. My sessions usually include discussion, problem-solving, and past paper practice, always with your goals in mind. I’ve been tutoring online for several years and really enjoy the flexibility and focus it offers. I completed my school and sixth form education at St Paul’s Church College in Agra, India, where I achieved strong grades in science subjects, particularly Chemistry and Biotechnology. I then studied for a BSc in Chemistry and Zoology, graduating with Honours in Chemistry, and went on to complete an MSc in Chemistry with distinction at Dayalbagh Educational Institute, India. Later, I moved to the UK to pursue a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Lancashire. My doctoral research focused on improving the stability of materials used in solar panels and electronic devices. Through this, I gained hands-on experience with advanced laboratory methods and international research facilities. Alongside my academic background, I have taught science across various levels. I previously taught GCSE Science, A Level Chemistry, and Applied Science courses at Bedford College, where I also led the T Level Science programme and supported curriculum development. I now work as an Associate Lecturer in Medical Sciences at the University of Lancashire. My main area of expertise is Chemistry, particularly physical and inorganic chemistry, but I also have a solid understanding of Biology and experience supporting students across all science disciplines. My tutoring style is calm, clear, and tailored to each learner’s needs, whether you're preparing for GCSEs, A Levels, or looking for extra support at university level. I aim to help students build confidence, develop a deeper understanding of science, and succeed in both exams and future studies.

Milo here - an incoming first year medical student and aspiring surgeon, with a passion for medical education. Outside the lecture hall, you’ll find me pushing limits in the gym or tackling challenging trails on my mountain bike, always chasing my next adventure. I’m a life long learner and crave knowledge - I feel a high degree of satisfaction passing on this knowledge throughout my time as a tutor, from breaking down complex theories into understandable chunks of information, to finally being able to answer that tricky exam question; I will be there to support you in your journey through the education system. My teaching style consists of ensuring fundamental topics are well understood - thus building on this foundation with direct application to exam board questions. I do not teach outside of the relevant specification. Once content is well understood, lessons with me will be almost entirely exam question based, working through past paper questions together or sharing thought processes - working with me will ensure you are ready for your GCSE and A-Level exams. Hi! I’m Catherine Solomon, a tutor passionate about turning tricky concepts into “aha!” moments. I teach Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Basic Science, Math, and English, breaking down complex topics into simple steps. My goal is to create a positive space where learning is fun, clear, and rewarding! I hold a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, where I honed problem-solving skills and discovered a passion for teaching as a part-time tutor in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Science, and Math. Alongside my English Literature degree, I am a competitive middle-distance athlete and worked within the executive team, as VP of Sport, on my college committee at the University of York. I also enjoyed my role as a course ambassador, speaking to prospective students and parents at open days about studying English at Undergraduate level and university life in general. While at University, I began teaching English Literature and Language via zoom, primarily to GCSE students, with the hope of tutoring at A-Level too. My sessions are always based on the personal areas that each individual student wishes to focus on, to consolidate or enhance their understanding of the given topic. I am patient and understanding, so promise to support each student at their own pace and be not only a tutor, but also a reassuring support-system to whom they can direct any questions or queries. I hope to guide and support other students in their personal academic goals, through a focus on exam technique, revision methods and coping with the potential stress that may arise during exam season, to help get the best out of each individual. I recently graduated from the University of York with a First class honours degree in English and Related Literature. My modules covered an expansive geographical and temporal range from Latin Literature and the Middle Ages, to the Renaissance and 20th Century American Literature. In my A-Levels, I achieved 3x A*s in English Literature, History and Latin. In my GCSEs, I achieved a grade 9 in the following subjects: English Literature, English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Latin, History, Religious Studies and Computer Science, with an 8 in Chemistry.
