Hi, I’m Tara Patel, a dedicated and passionate Math teacher! I enjoy making mathematics engaging and meaningful by connecting lessons to real-life situations and using interactive activities that spark curiosity. My goal is to help students build confidence in problem-solving and develop a genuine appreciation for numbers. I love creating a fun and supportive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to explore and succeed. In my free time, I enjoy solving puzzles, watching educational videos, and taking peaceful morning walks to start the day with a clear mind. I graduated with a Bachelor in Secondary Education, Major in Mathematics, and I also hold a Juris Doctor degree. My academic journey equipped me with strong skills in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication. Through my education, I developed expertise in creating engaging math lessons, applying various teaching strategies, and supporting students with different learning styles. My background in law further enhanced my discipline, critical thinking, and attention to detail, which I bring into my teaching to help students become logical, confident, and motivated learners.

Since joining GoStudent back in April 2023, I’ve had the incredible privilege of tutoring for over two years — and what a journey it has been! In that time, I’ve not only grown as a teacher but also as a communicator, motivator, and lifelong learner. My lessons are anything but “one-size-fits-all.” Every session is designed to spark curiosity, encourage outside-the-box thinking, and make learning genuinely enjoyable. I love giving students (and their families) the chance to shape the direction of our lessons — because when learning feels personal, progress happens naturally. For me, the most rewarding part of tutoring is watching students go from “I can’t” to “I can.” Whether it’s tackling tricky topics, preparing for exams, or simply rediscovering a love for learning, I’m here to celebrate every step forward and keep that momentum going. I studied at the UCL School of Pharmacy, where I am currently preparing to sit my final MPharm exams following a recent gap period. In October 2022, I proudly graduated with a First-Class MSci in Pharmaceutical Studies, a course that challenged me academically while also sparking my curiosity for problem-solving and research. Beyond the textbooks, I’ve always believed that learning should be creative and enjoyable. That’s why you’ll often find me making colourful, artsy study notes (which are slowly turning into a revision blog!), or bringing a creative twist into my lessons to help tricky concepts click. My education hasn’t just been about exams and grades — it’s also taught me how to stay curious, resilient, and open-minded, and I try to pass that on to every student I work with.
