English GCSE - year 10&11 only Russian all levels I am an enthusiastic and devoted tutor. I am aware of different challenges that students face and I develop different strategies to help them to overcome them. There isn’t always an opportunity for students to ask questions and receive a lot of personal attention in the school classrooms, so I always encourage students to explain to me what they struggle with the most and which areas make the least sense, so they don’t go back to their school lessons still feeling confused and worried that they don’t understand something. In addition, I encourage them to think and analyse, I try to avoid giving answers, instead I help students find them themselves. I believe it’s such an important life skill. I consider each student’s strengths and we...

Iqra Z.

Hi I am Iqra, 4th year Medical Student at the University of Nottingham. I achieved highly during GCSE and Alevels. I can tutor both A-level and GCSE biology and Chemistry. I also have a degree in Biomedical sciences (Bmedsci) I am friendly , approachable and keen to help students accomplish the best results. I will keep lessons fun and interesting keeping students engaged at all time. I will help tackle your weaknesses and help improve the exam technique. Having gone through many Alevel and GCSE past papers myself for both AQA and OCR exam boards I understand the exam techniques and certain patterns in exam questions. I also create personalised progress trackers for all my students which they can use during both their personal studies and in my lessons as well. Having recently gone through my Alevels whilst also applying for medical school, I understand it can be a very stressful time. I will make sure my students are heard, by regularly checking in with them to make sure they are making the most of our lessons. I will conduct regular quizzes to help make students knowledge and exam technique stronger. I will also give tips on how they can manage their time effectively in their biology and chemistry exams. I have great enthusiasm and interest in biology and I believe it has always been my strength. I would love to help make other students fall in love with biology the way I did by making lessons fun , engaging and easy to understand. GCSE chemistry grade 9 biology 8 Alevel biology A

Hi! My name's Rebecca, and I am a soon-to-be PhD Student, specialising in computational chemistry. I have just finished an integrated master's in Natural Sciences at Cambridge, meaning I've studied Physics and Chemistry at a university level. I have experience supporting university admissions, where I volunteered on open days, school visits, and summer schools throughout my undergraduate studies. A big part of this was small group teaching of year 12s, where we started at A-level content and developed to first-year undergraduate topics. I have also worked as a mentor on Cambridge's STEM SMART programme for Year 12 students. This widening participation program focused on pastoral support for students from low-income backgrounds looking to apply to top universities in the STEM subjects. I am a tutor because I love teaching just as much as I love science, but also because the current A-level system doesn't show you how valuable the knowledge you learn is to the field. I am hoping that together, we'll not only get the grade you want but that I'll also help you appreciate how important the things you learn are in the world of science! My tutoring style focuses on visual learning and understanding the basics rather than relying on memorisation. I focus on helping you grasp the core principles and building up from there. When you truly understand the fundamentals, you can confidently approach any question because you know how it all fits together. Understanding is only one part of the process; practice makes perfect. We'll also focus on exam technique, specifically what the examiners from your exam board want from you and how best to approach the exam. In my spare time, I love to cook, paint and sew! I currently tutor Maths (GCSE and A-level) and Chemistry (A-level). I’ve always loved maths and science. I took two additional maths qualifications during my GCSEs and regularly competed in UKMT challenges. At A-level, I studied Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, and Physics, which is where I realised my real passion lay in the physical sciences. I went on to study Natural Sciences at Cambridge, a broad and rigorous course that allowed me to explore a wide range of scientific subjects before specialising. I took Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, and Applied Maths in my first year. In second year, I continued with Chemistry and also studied the History and Philosophy of Science (a bit of a wildcard choice, but one I found genuinely fascinating). I eventually specialised in Chemistry, focusing mainly on theoretical and quantum chemistry, a field that merges the logical structure of physics with the molecular insight of chemistry. I graduated with a 2.1 in my undergraduate degree and decided to stay on for a fourth year to complete my integrated Master’s. My final-year research was in computational chemistry, where I simulated how proteins behave under different conditions. This work sat at the interface of chemistry, physics, and biology, allowing me to apply concepts from across the sciences. It was fully computer-based (a massive plus - I’ve never been a fan of lab work!) and I was proud to finish the year with a First. I loved the experience so much that I wasn’t quite ready to leave academia. I’m now about to begin a PhD at King’s College London, researching novel bio-based materials (ideally with minimal time spent in the lab)! My undergraduate journey wasn’t without challenges. Cambridge is tough, and I was diagnosed with dyslexia after receiving unexpectedly low marks in my first-year exams. My performance steadily improved as I learned how to work with my learning style. I’ve always been a visual and hands-on learner, which likely explains why Chemistry felt so natural to me. My academic ups and downs have deeply influenced how I approach tutoring - I understand what it’s like to struggle despite working hard, and empathy helps me support my students more effectively. I believe that learning should be about building accurate understanding, not just memorising facts, and I strive to make that a reality in every session I teach.

I am a dedicated, committed and experienced tutor who excels in helping GCSE students develop exam technique and content confidence to reach those top marks most other students miss. I utilise a range of learning techniques and resources not readily available elsewhere which helped me achieve grade 9 in eight of my subjects at GCSE, which I will work through and teach with you or your child. I am an expert in helping students cross grade boundaries and flourish and my patient, complete learning approach ensures they'll have the confidence to take on any question. I attended Queen Elizabeth's school in Barnet, the highest ranking boys grammar school currently. My education and the resources I had access to there allowed me to attain grade 9 in 8 subjects at GCSE, Grade 8 in the remaining two subjects, an A grade - which is the highest that can be attained - in all of my AS-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, as well as receive a predicted Grade of A*, A*, A in Biology, Chemistry and Maths respectively at A-level. I am a current Imperial medicine offer holder, and can provide support for prospective medical applicants if they wish. Finally, I have had 2 years of experience tutoring younger students for their GCSE's and 11+ exams.

Lower Level: Math, Physics, Biology, Chemistry GSCE: Math, Physics, Biology, Chemistry A-level: Math and Physics Higher Level: Math and Physics I have extensive experience in AQA, Edexcel, and OCR exam boards. Languages: English (Bilingual Proficiency), Arabic (Native), French (Elementary Proficiency), Hungarian (Elementary Proficiency) Preferred student age group: Any Apart from Math and Physics, I like working on cars, programming, doing calisthenics, and solving puzzles like the Rubik's cube. Hello! My name is Daher Salameh and I'm a mechanical engineer. I have a master's degree in mechanical engineering and currently work as an R&D engineer. I always had a passion for teaching and valued education a lot, as it's our tool to build a better future for ourselves and keep moving forward as individuals and as a society. My area of expertise in teaching is mainly Math and Physics (but also taught other subjects) and I have more than 5 years of experience in this field. Throughout the years, I have learned to deliver concepts to students in ways they have never seen before — that I believe are interesting — which encourages them to learn. I always try to present the physical significance behind every concept, the intuition behind the formulas, and the relation of everything academic to its real life counterpart. I hope you'll learn from and enjoy my lessons because I certainly enjoy giving them!
