Hi, I’m Maja! (Pronounced Maya). I’m an astrophysics postgrad and a qualified secondary school science teacher. I’ve been through the full rollercoaster of science education, from fighting my way through a master’s degree and emerging with first-class honours, to teaching Year 9s on a Friday afternoon who would rather be anywhere else. Now I help GCSE and A-Level students believe what I already know: you can do this. My goal is to make science feel understandable, interesting, and even a bit fun. When I’m not teaching, you'll find me hanging upside down on an aerial hoop, or writing stories inspired by science and folklore. I went to secondary school in Hungary, where I was initially more interested in the humanities, until I fell in love with space and modern physics. For my leaving qualifications, I completed Advanced Exams in Mathematics and Physics and achieved an A. At university, I completed an integrated Master of Physics degree at the University of Southampton. My first three years focused on general physics (including lab work, mechanics, quantum physics, solid state physics, and wave physics) with a few modules of astronomy. During my master’s year, I had the incredible opportunity to conduct research at the Harvard & Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, where I studied the relationship between black holes and their host galaxies and wrote my thesis on this topic. I graduated with first-class honours in Astrophysics. After university, I felt drawn to education and wanted to help students grasp the beauty of science, so I completed a year of school-centred initial teacher training. I now hold a PGCE with QTS as a qualified science teacher.

I enjoy mathematics for its logical structure and the creativity involved in solving unfamiliar problems. As a tutor, my goal is to help students understand the underlying concepts rather than focus on memorisation, fostering an enjoyment of the subject, and boosting their confidence in their abilities. With a BSc in Mathematics from UCL, I have a strong background in the subject. Having achieved A* in both A-Level Maths and Further Maths, I am confident in explaining topics such as algebra, calculus, trigonometry, and logarithms. MSc Mathematical Sciences - University of Bristol (2025 - 2026) BSc Mathematics - University College London (2021 - 2024) 2.1 A Levels - Holland Park School (2018 - 2020) Maths A* | Further Maths A* | Physics A* | Chemistry A* GCSEs - Fulham Cross Academy

Hi I’m Chloe! I’m 23 and I’m here to help with all things English! Whether it’s Literature, Language, Creative Writing or even if you just need help with your exam technique- I’m here to help. I have a positive approach and I believe in learning together- you’ll never be judged or put down to getting things wrong, we’ll just go through it together as many times as you need! I have experience with students with SEN and SEMH so can happily adapt your lessons in any way you need and I’m all for a 5 minute tea break when you need it. I look forward to meeting you and seeing how I can help! I graduated in 2025 with a BA (Hons) in English Literature with Creative Writing so I did a little bit of both sides of English! I have since been studying for my MA in Children’s Publishing which is so much fun but lots of hard work so I know a thing or two about study skills, revision techniques and time management.

I'm an undergraduate Economics BSC student at the University of Warwick. I achieved four A*s at A Level and I have 3 years of tutoring experience already. My goal is to help my students to achieve the best grades they can, regardless of which stage of education they are in as well as offer student advice on applying to university (should they be an A-Level student), having gone through the process recently. My teaching follows a structured learning plan, tailored to what my students are currently doing in school and the requirements of the national curriculum for their age group. I attended a grammar school through GCSE and A-Levels where I received 11A*s and 1A. I then took my A-Levels in German, Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics where I received four A*s. I am currently studying Economics at the University of Warwick and I also teach as a cover teacher part time in local schools.

Hi! I'm Connor and I am studying Physics at university! At uni my favorite topic is space and galaxies. In my spare time I work on old cars and do astrophotography. I am dyslexic, so I understand that different people have different approaches to learning and that there is no single correct way to go about it! I enjoy learning and would like to share my passion with others :). I am currently attending the university of Liverpool studying Physics going into my third year of undergraduate study aiming to complete an integrated masters and hopefully move on to a PHD. so far over both year one and two I have averaged a first class degree whilst still maintaining my hobbies and a job on the weekends. I completed A levels in maths, further maths and physics.

GCSE: At GCSE level, I can teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Exam board experience: I have teaching experience in AQA and Edexcel. Preferred student age group: My preferred age group is GCSE students, as I have the most experience teaching students at this level. About me: I am very passionate about science and love to share my passion by tutoring, writing articles for my university science magazine, and being part of many scientific societies. Outside of academia, I love cooking, rock climbing, and horse riding. GCSEs: I completed 9 GCSEs overall, receiving a 9 in Biology, a 9 in Chemistry, a 9 in Physics, and an 8 in Maths. Beyond the STEM subjects, I received a 9 in Theology, an 8 in Drama, an 8 in Spanish, a 7 in English Literature, and a 6 in English Language. A-Levels: In my A-Levels, I received an A* in Biology, an A* in Psychology, and an A in Chemistry. During this time, I also completed a Spanish Diploma at a B1 level. In Year 13, I was selected to be the Chemistry Prefect due to being one of the top Chemistry students in my year group. Undergraduate degree: I am currently a 2nd year Biochemistry student at King's College London and anticipated to receive First after my performance in my 1st year exams and coursework. During this time, I was a PAL leader. This role encompassed leading workshops on exam techniques, study skills, and challenging topics within a Biochemistry degree. Tutoring experience: I have been tutoring for three years, including volunteer tutoring for students who have been unable to attend school. I focus on developing personalised and engaging lessons. It is important to me to help students understand the topics I cover and apply what they have learned in the context of exam questions, thereby enhancing their confidence in exams. The students I am experienced in tutoring are GCSE and A-Level students. I also mentored and assisted students during my Chemistry Prefect and PAL leader tenure, which further enhanced my teaching abilities.
