My name is Niav, I’m a second year medical student. I love teaching, helping other students achieve their best to become a step closer to their dreams. I’ve helped my students achieve 8s and 9s for GCSEs. It’s a step by step process, but this time your not alone :) I completed my GCSEs in 2022, achieving all A-A*s, subjects including; biology, chemistry , physics (triple science), maths, english, creative imedia, Spanish, geography and more . I then went onto do A Levels in Core maths, biology, chemistry and psychology. Now, I am currently a medical student who is in second year.

I’m an experienced Economics and Business tutor with a strong academic background, including an A* and A at A-Level and current studies at UCL. I'm Ellen, your friendly maths tutor! When not unravelling the mysteries of numbers, I'm into yoga, swimming, and weight training, ensuring daily exercise. Alongside, my passion for hiking takes me to new heights of adventure. Furthermore, fuelled by wanderlust, I aim to explore as many countries as possible. In 2018, I proudly received my PGCE in Mathematics Teaching from King's College London, following my (2:1) Chemistry BSc (Hons) from the University of Manchester in 2017. Throughout my academic journey, I attained A*, A, and B grades in A-Level Maths, Chemistry, and Biology, respectively. For GCSEs, I secured 3 A*s, 5 As, and 2 Bs. With this strong foundation, I'm committed to providing supportive guidance to my students as they navigate the world of mathematics.

I'm a Maths grad, currently working in the tech industry, having studied Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A-Level. Outside of work I'm a keen runner and hiker, who loves spending time outdoors outdoors or exploring London, and enjoys getting lost reading a great book! I attended Peter Symonds college for A-levels, where I took Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. At Bath University I studied Mathematical Sciences, allowing me to dabble in physics while I focussed on Maths. Since university, I have studied again in Software Engineering and continue to learn constantly in my job.

I’m a third-year aeronautical engineering student who knows from experience what it feels like when lectures, textbooks, or problem sheets just don’t make sense the first (or fifth) time. I’ve been in the position where school support wasn’t quite enough, which is why I enjoy helping students bridge that gap and actually understand what’s going on, not just memorise steps. My approach is relaxed, patient, and focused on building confidence alongside knowledge. There are no silly questions here — if something doesn’t make sense, that just means it’s worth asking about as I strongly believe that asking questions is part of learning, and no one should feel embarrassed for needing things explained differently. Outside academics, I’m a big sports fan and still play football for my own club as well as my university team. I love the outdoors, animals, and generally staying active, which probably explains why I like explanations that are clear, practical, and grounded rather than overly abstract. My goal is to make learning feel less intimidating and a lot more achievable. My degree has strengthened my analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and ability to break complex ideas into logical, easy-to-follow steps — skills that translate directly into effective tutoring. During school, I took on leadership and mentoring roles, including serving as a Maths Ambassador, and went on to complete certifications in Sports Leadership, Mentoring in Violence Prevention, and Mental Health Ambassador training. Together, these experiences strengthened my communication skills, adaptability, and ability to build both understanding and confidence in others.

I'm currently undertaking an integrated masters in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. I achieved A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry A-level, and also in EPQ (which is a form of assessed personal project that many schools encourage pupils to take to strengthen their university applications). I have also studied and taken Oxford's Physics Aptitude Test (the PAT), which is a prerequisite for Physics and Engineering at Oxford. I was born in London but raised in Barcelona, so I am fluent in English, Spanish and Catalan. I am currently studying Biomedical Sciences at the University of Warwick. I enjoy going on walks, visiting historical sites, meeting friends, swimming, reading, and writing. I did a Spanish Baccalaureate in Barcelone, at Colegi Montserrat de Vallvidrera. I chose the Science baccalaureate, which included Maths, Biology and Chemistry, as well as History, English, Spanish, Catalan and Philosophy. Currently I am obtaining by BCs in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Warwick.

I’m a mechanical engineering student who enjoys learning, staying active, and improving at things over time.
