Hi, I’m Elijah, and I’m passionate about making learning both enjoyable and rewarding. I love breaking down complex concepts in math and English into simple, easy-to-understand steps, helping students build confidence and a strong foundation. My approach is to make both subjects relatable, so they feel less like a challenge and more like a fun puzzle to solve. I believe that everyone can excel when given the right tools and support. By creating a friendly and encouraging environment, I help students not only improve their skills but also develop a genuine interest in both Math and English. Together, we’ll explore new concepts, build problem-solving abilities, and celebrate every achievement along the way! I hold a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in University of Pangasinan and am working toward my professional license. My studies have provided me with a strong foundation in both mathematics and English, and I’ve seen how skills in one area can enhance understanding in the other. My background in engineering has helped me develop problem-solving skills that I apply in tutoring math, making complex concepts easier to grasp. I help students build confidence and skills in both math and English, enabling them to tackle challenges with clarity. In a supportive environment, I encourage questions, growth at their own pace, and the discovery of connections in their learning.

Subjects I Teach: - Biology A-Level - Science: KS3 & GCSE - Maths & English: Up to Functional Skills Level 2 A Bit About Me: My name is Nadia, and I'm a 25-year-old biologist. I'm currently studying for my Master's in Cancer Biology, a field I'm interested in, with the ultimate goal of becoming a clinical scientist. I believe that science should be accessible to everyone, and I really dislike it when people "gatekeep" scientific knowledge. My goal is to make learning engaging and manageable, helping you build confidence and achieve your goals through a personalised approach. Having dyslexia myself, I'm particularly passionate about using newfound ways to teach students with special educational needs (SEN), particularly non-verbal ASD, ADHD and Dyslexia. Outside of my studies and teaching, I love to relax and get creative. You might find me rollerskating, crocheting, or curled up with a good book and a cup of tea. I'm a big animal lover, and while I can't have a pet of my own right now, I enjoy pet-sitting for friends. I'm also interested in languages; I've completed a TEFL course, taught English to refugees and completed two beginner language courses, in Russian and Polish. My Education: - BSc Biology - University of Nottingham - MRes Cancer Biology - Nottingham Trent University - PGCE - Sheffield Hallam University (Partially Completed) About My Journey My journey into education began in January 2022 when I started tutoring with GoStudent while working on my BSc in Biology at the University of Nottingham. My passion for teaching grew, leading me to pursue a PGCE at Sheffield Hallam University. I completed two school placements, gaining valuable classroom experience over a total of nine months. Although unforeseen personal circumstances prevented me from finishing my PGCE, I remained dedicated to helping students. I continued tutoring through the National Tutoring Programme and the local authority, working with students who couldn't attend mainstream school due to various needs, including SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health). This rewarding experience led me to a short teaching contract at a special educational provision. There, I taught small groups of students with similar backgrounds. It was in this role that I truly discovered my most effective teaching style: a personalised, one-on-one approach. This method allows me to focus on each student's unique needs, helping them build confidence and achieve their academic goals. I'm now studying for my MRes in Cancer Biology at Nottingham Trent University, but my commitment to providing tailored, impactful education remains a priority. I'm excited to bring my experience and passion to our sessions.

Lower Level: Mathematics and Science GCSE: Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics Exam board Experience: All examboards for GCSE biology and chemistry and Edexcel/ AQA/OCR for GCSE mathematics. Languages: I prefer tutoring in English. Experience: I have tutored both primary and secondary school students previously. Preferred student age group: Any About me: Hi! :) I am Bel and I am currently a research student. My areas of interest are mitochondrial genetics and proteomics, and I hope to complete my PhD. I have signed up as a tutor on GoStudent because I find working as a tutor to be both fulfilling and rewarding. I remember being a stressed GCSE/ A-Level student so it will be easy for me to relate to students currently at that stage. My method for GCSE/ A-Level tutoring involves using mini-tests and looking at past assessments completed by the student to identify areas of weakness, and this will enable us to develop a better understanding of those topics. During the sessions, we will also look through exam questions and examiner reports together to identify and practice the skills required to achieve the top grades. Most importantly, I will work on building the student's confidence in their subject through these tailored sessions so they can reach their full academic potential. As for primary school students, my aim is to encourage the students to learn through educational and fun sessions which incorporate their personal interests to keep them engaged. I am very passionate about maths and the sciences, and I hope I can pass that on to my tutees. My non-academic interests include: archery, painting and embroidery. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile! I hope to see you soon! :) University degree
