Alongside my English Literature degree, I am a competitive middle-distance athlete and worked within the executive team, as VP of Sport, on my college committee at the University of York. I also enjoyed my role as a course ambassador, speaking to prospective students and parents at open days about studying English at Undergraduate level and university life in general. While at University, I began teaching English Literature and Language via zoom, primarily to GCSE students, with the hope of tutoring at A-Level too. My sessions are always based on the personal areas that each individual student wishes to focus on, to consolidate or enhance their understanding of the given topic. I am patient and understanding, so promise to support each student at their own pace and be not only a tutor, but also a reassuring support-system to whom they can direct any questions or queries. I hope to guide and support other students in their personal academic goals, through a focus on exam technique, revision methods and coping with the potential stress that may arise during exam season, to help get the best out of each individual. I recently graduated from the University of York with a First class honours degree in English and Related Literature. My modules covered an expansive geographical and temporal range from Latin Literature and the Middle Ages, to the Renaissance and 20th Century American Literature. In my A-Levels, I achieved 3x A*s in English Literature, History and Latin. In my GCSEs, I achieved a grade 9 in the following subjects: English Literature, English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Latin, History, Religious Studies and Computer Science, with an 8 in Chemistry.

I love to travel, read, eat and try new activities! I like learning about different cultures and the history behind the cultures. I took up running during the pandemic and my aim is to one day run a half marathon and once that's achieved, run a full marathon. I love teaching and am very passionate about it. I did GCSEs in Maths, English, Science, RS, Drama, ICT, Business Studies, and got additional qualifications such as Critical Thinking AS Level when I was in secondary school. My A Levels were in English Literature and Language, Accounting and Economics. My Bachelor's degree was in Accounting and Finance and I proceeded to get a PGCE after a year of doing a Maths Enhancement Course to qualify to teach Secondary Maths.

I am currently in my second year at the University of Nottingham. I tutor A Level and GCSE English, GCSE History and 11+ entrance tests online. I did A Level English literature as well as GCSE history and english. My primary goal is to create a safe space where I can help others improve their skills surrounding these humanities-based subjects I completed my A Levels at Pate’s Grammar School with an A in English Literature, A in Politics and B in economics and GCSE with 9s in Maths, English literature and language, and history, as well as 8s in biology, chemistry, physics, business, religious studies and music. I'm 23 years old and graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have been tutoring with GoStudent for nearly two years and have previous tutoring experience, including informal sessions at high school and as part of an internal program at my college, Brighton Hove and Sussex Sixth Form College (BHASVIC). My hobbies include astronomy, hiking, camping, and reading Sci-Fi books. I graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BEng in mechanical engineering. I took Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, and Physics at A-level at Brighton Hove and Sussex Sixth Form College (BHASVIC), achieving AABB in the respective subjects. Having achieved an A* at A level and a 1st Class degree in Modern History with Economics at A level, I have experience teaching a wide range of history GCSE and A Level topics. The topics I have the most experience is in: Nazi Germany, The Cold War, Medicine through time, Anglo Saxon and Norman England, 20th Century Russia (1894-1924) and Britain during the 17th century (1625-1701); given the wide scope of history modules I study at University, I have a broader understanding of history - especially modern history. In addition to this, I am qualified and able to teach AQA GCSE English Language/Literature - including texts such as the Inspector Calls, Power and Conflict (Poetry), and Macbeth/Romeo and Juliet to a high level given my success at GCSE and A Level for English. As a tutor I would bring an infectious passion to continuous learning and improvement, helping students realise that commitment and hard work can take you far.
