About me: Hi! I’m Irene. I have been involved in teaching for 2 years, having previously worked with students age 4-16 as a teaching assistant in the UK and in Spain. My experience has allowed me to develop my confidence in teaching students from KS1 all the way up to A-level. In addition, in my second and final year at University I tutored 1st year Biology students who were struggling with the jump from A-level to undergrad, helping them develop their statistical, critical analysis and exam writing skills. Levels & subjects - Lower level: Biology - GCSE: Biology -A-LEVEL (IB): Biology - Higher level: Biology Exam board experience: - AQA, Edexcel A&B, OCR A&B, WJEC Languages: Spanish- I am bilingual and worked in a Spanish school in Madrid for 1 year. SEND: I have experience working as a SEN TA. I worked with students who had DLD, dyslexia, Autism, anxiety and down syndrome Preferred student group: I am happy to teach from primary up to A-LEVEL. While at school, I was always the kid in class who asked SO many questions because I often found science and maths lessons to be a huge information overload! Thanks to the patience of my teachers and a dedicated tutor I excelled in my science and maths GCSEs and A-Levels which ultimately gave me the confidence to go on and study Biology at the University of Leeds. I strive to give my students the same patience and dedication I received in school to them!

Lower Level: French GCSE: French A-Level (AI) : French Higher Level: French Languages: English and French Preferred Student Age Group: (Any/Primary/GSCE/Leaving Certificate/A-Level) I was born in Paris and raised in a bilingual household with no shortage of music. My father was a singer-songwriter, my mum plays the violin and I started singing before I could walk. After earning a diploma in Performing Arts in California, I moved to London and lived there for many years before relocating to the beautiful West of Ireland. After moving to London, I started teaching French and English as a Second Language to private students between auditions and performances and completely fell in love with teaching languages. Apart from performing and teaching languages, I really enjoy travelling and have had the chance to visit many countries in Europe and beyond. I have a real passion for the Italian language and love spending time in Florence, one of my favourite cities in the world. Last but not least, I love reading, have an extensive knowledge of French and Irish History, and also adore animals ... cats, dogs, horses... I love them all.

I have been teaching English for GCSE, Junior Cert and Leaving Cert, as well as teaching Junior Cert and Leaving Cert French online for the last two years. As well as this, I teach primary school Irish and Ordinary Level Irish for the Junior and Leaving Certificate exams. I also have experience in tutoring EFL students with a low-level of English and helping them to gain confidence in their language skills. I have guided many students towards achieving both higher grades and developing genuine interest in the subjects I teach through my engaging and clear teaching style. I strongly believe that when students are comfortable with their tutor, and when they have a say in what material needs to be studied, they find it easier to actively learn and to absorb the information which they are being taught. Hello! I am Riddhi. I was a graduate student studying Theoretical Physics at the University of Edinburgh 2021-22 and have now switched to web development recently. I am particularly interested in teaching Physics as well as Mathematics, as I can confidently claim that I have developed a deep intuition for both of these disciplines over the years. I believe that learning both Maths and Physics can be made into a fun process if taught accurately! I have done a Post-graduation course in Theoretical Physics. Apart from my personal education, my tutoring expertise lies in teaching Physics from Year 8 till Year 13, as well as teaching Maths till Year 9. I have been in the tutoring profession for past 5 years now. My greatest achievement so far would be getting a student from zero interest in studying Physics, to teaching them beyond their current year curriculum within just months. Being a Masters student, I understand the necessity for learning certain conventions (the hardest bit for a lot of students) in Physics and Maths, understanding which makes students grasp the subject matter much more efficiently.

What are A-levels?
A-level stands for ‘advanced level’, which gives you a good indication of how difficult they can be. Students usually work towards achieving their A-levels over two years, taking three or four courses in the first year of Sixth Form and three in the second year.
Are A-levels difficult?
The shift from GCSE to A-levels is huge, and many students get caught out as they’re expecting a gentle jump.
A-levels require an increased level of independence. Some kids thrive on this newfound taste of adulthood whereas others take more time to adjust.
What is an A-level exam?
A-level exams take place at the end of each year, with the second-year exam testing content from both years.
Non-exam assessments only make up 20% or less of the final grade. That’s why nailing the exams is crucial.
Who can take A-level exams?
Requirements vary between different schools and colleges, but generally speaking your child will need:
When will your child need help with their A-levels?
Many children benefit from tuition right from the start, as the jump from GCSEs is more like a vertical rock climb than a jog up a hill.
If your child struggles with planning their study time, their tutor can guide them on the best study practices and help create a learning schedule.
Why A-level private tutoring works
When should my child start revising for their A-levels?
How much time is needed will depend upon how much effort your child put in during the year and how hard they found the content. Ideally, leave at least a few months for revision and longer if they are taking more than three A-levels.
How do you revise for A-levels?
Just reading over notes and books isn’t enough to solidify information in the brain. Your child will need a study timetable so they can ensure they have time to revise everything in detail.
Our dedicated A-level online tutors will provide homework and exam papers to practise on and will keep you up-to-date on your child’s progress.
Book your free trial lesson today and breathe a sigh of relief. At GoStudent, we make sure that every one of our professional and experienced A-level tutors has been there, aced that, so your child is in safe hands.
How affordable is private A Levels tuition?
The cost of private A Levels tuition can be as low as £21.99. The price of each individual lesson is dependent on how long your child would like tuition support and how many lessons they take per week. The more they learn, the lower the price of each lesson! Why not book a free trial session for you and your child to see how we can help?
